Old fashioned way to take notes during meetings

Note: I am not an accountant but a software developer in the bay area.I've been using Boorum & Pease accounting books since my old days at Apple (almost 15 years ago) when I discovered that some of the developers I respected the most there were also using this brand to jolt notes and ideas down during meetings. And boy, I have never looked back in terms of quality and feel.My handwriting sucks and I make a lot of typos. However, let me just open this fantastic heavy bounded book I carry with me in every meeting I attend, on a blank page and then I just leave my imagination drive the point of my Mont Blanc on the superb surface, then ideas start flowing on the paper. Outstanding!In an age of Asian imported goods, where even Moleskine moved their manufacturing to China and still call their notebooks legendary even if they irreversibly degraded the quality of their product (it's just the brand baby!), it's a refreshing feeling to be able to support the American heritage and business in America by buying excellent products like this one that inspire you and drive your creativity to the roof.

Excellent notebook for a great price.

This notebook had everything I wanted in a scientific notebook: the hardcover, 300 pages, and quad rule. I am a research scientist in a lab and the hardcover allows protection from chemicals and other heavy duty solutions that are often spilled. The sleek styling of the notebook was also admirable. Although these notebooks are somewhat costly, I don't think I can purchase another brand notebook. In addition, Amazon shipped the notebook in one day, which was amazing!!! Thanks Amazon for such a great deal.

Great gift for an autistic child that likes to be covered!

I had my parents get this for my 9 year old autistic daughter for Christmas. She is extreamly hard to buy for as we dont quite know what will make her happy. This turned out to be an awsome gift! She likes to be covered but I worry that she cant breathe well. This tent has plenty of mesh that I dont need to worry. It can also stay open if you want. When we put this together, she became VERY excited and she jumped right in and was giggling the whole time! It also kind of helped promote interaction with her little sister. She was so excited about it, she actually asked (in her way)her sister to get in with her, and then wanted her sister to sleep with her! She still has it up and the girls play in it daily. This was one of the best gifts I have ever found for her.

My 3 year old Loves IT!!!! Yahoo!!!!

I can rember having a Tent as a child and loving it. Not too many toys stand out in my mind like my tent, so I thought I would search for one for my 3 year old's double bed. You can find them in the stores for twin beds but not double. So I searched Amazon and found one. Talked it over and ordered. Best decision I made. I love the tent. It is just like the one I rember when I was a child and my daugher LOVES IT!!!! It brings back so many memories for me and now my daugher can have the same. It seems sturdy and as far as durability, I will keep you posted b/c she is a rough little girl...lolShe is sleeping in it now with no problems falling asleep. I am glad I made the decision to purchase it.Kristy

Perfect - Your child will love this!

I had been looking for a tent just like this, and I love that it's nuetral (well I mean not a "character"). For my son, I actually bought a normal pooh tent and cut it to fit on his bed. Both my kids have queen size beds, so my goal was to get a tent that I could have over their pillow sleeping area but still be open so they could watch their tv or look out their windows in the morning when lying down, and my husband and I can still sit on his/her bed to read or cuddle without having to squeeze in some tent. This worked great! I was able to slide the queen size mattress into the tent. I of course can't close the zipper all the way, since it has a mattress in the way, but she can close it enough if she wants to "hide". Of course this wasn't designed for what I have done with it, but hey, I'm happy! It also has pockets on each side for storing pacifyers, drinks, whatever... Now she has a "COZY" bed to crawl into. I have no complaints.

After an initial problem figuring out how to import audio files, I find that this software and foot pedal work fine. I did have to call their toll free customer support line because the import process wasn't intuitive. Their customer service hours are limited, but they were very helpful. There are many options to customize how the product works and I am using it easily. I did not like the head phones under my chin, but am just using an older pair.

Pretty but frustrating

I was really happy to find more of a feminine looking pedometer watch in this. The thinner band and pink color is nice. However, I mainly purchased this to count my daily steps, see how many miles I "stepped" and how many calories I burned. The frustrating feature is that it constantly shuts itself off from counting the steps if you are not moving for a certain period of time. You have to always be thinking of checking it and turning it back on. It's not working for me in that respect. I am unable to see a full day's computation of steps. I had another watch pedometer that did that beautifully except it was big and clunky and only came in black. If this brand could change this feature, it would be perfect for my purposes.

product to complicated for use

This product was way more difficult to use than it needed to be!! I am a runner and needed something with all info on one screen. If I wanted to get my speed, I had to push buttons. If I wanted time, push more buttons, and if I wanted distance, I had to push even more. This was nearly impossible running 8 mph. It might work for a walker, but even so, I found a much easier product for everyone. The Garmin 101 was about $10.00 more, but amazing. It shows everything on one screen, it has gps, and as soon as you turn it on, it's ready to go!! The screen is bigger, but not heavy. I run with it, put it on the stroller for a walk, and even ride a bike with it! It starts in feet until you get to .1 of a mile, then it goes by miles!! I wish I had this review while I was shopping!!

Works great!

I have been using this watch for about 1 month. The distance measurement function is surprisingly accurate. As other reviewers have mentioned, you must take the time to read the instructions and do the stride length measurement. I have only two gripes - the size of the readout is small, particularly the upper numbers (I used to use a Nike running watch that had enormous numbers, so it's a hard transition). For that reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The second gripe is probably a RTFM issue, but the pedometer randomly turns itself off when you're stationary for a while (at least it seems that way to me). Basically, the thing works as advertised.

Great Cigar Humidifier

I've had trouble for a long time keeping my cigars in the 60 to 65% humidity range that I prefer. The interior of my humidor measures roughly 45"W x 27"H x 14"D. It's lined in spanish cedar, has two slotted shelves and two hinged doors that open the entire front side. I usually have 10 to 12 boxes on the floor, which is also where the Oasis II sits. The two shelves together hold eight mesh baskets. Each basket holds about 40 cigars, with a couple more boxes on the second shelf. All together I typically have around 600 cigars on hand.I was using a much smaller Oasis XL Plus. During the winter heating season, it had to be refilled three to four times a week to stay in my target humidity range. The humidor is sealed and gasketed but is not 100% airtight. Tired of constantly refilling the XL Plus, I decided to try the much larger Oasis II. Wow - what a difference!With the Oasis II, I can now go over a month without refilling. It's reservoir is many times larger than the XL Plus. And with its top side reservoir cap, I can easily refill it without having to take it out of the humidor, as I did with the XL Plus to open its top half to refill.The dual fans are another excellent design feature. One fan runs constantly to insure the moist air circulates evenly throughout the humidor. That eliminates any dead-air or dry spots, and ensures all the cigars are at the same level of humidity. The second fan kicks in only when its sensor tells it to draw more humid air from the reservoir. The remote humidity gauge has large, bright red numerals that I can easily read from across the room. I also have a second electronic humidity gauge with a wireless remote readout that typically reads about 5% lower than the Oasis II. I split the difference for an average of about 63%. Just a tad on the drier side because I prefer the feel that creates, versus 70%, which feels a little damp to me. But if that's what you like, the Oasis II can easily get to 70%+ and stay there.It's fairly quiet, with a soft hum when nothing else is creating any sound in the room. Its foot print is about the size of two corona boxes, end to end, and a little more than two boxes high. The power cord and the cord for the humidity gauge are both long enough that I didn't need any extensions.Overall this is a great product. It's a smart design with all the features a real cigar enthusiast wants in a good humidifier for a larger humidor. The Oasis II is a great value for its price and will in turn take excellent care of your smokes as they age over time.

great humidifier. kept my 3000 stick humi within .3 of adjustibel set point. Bought two addtional small dc fans for maximum airflow. Unfortunately, lightning wiped out the microprocesser after 3 weeks. Now using replacement with surge protector.

Very good ... NOT great

This product works as advertised with no problems. However, the face plate points up at about a fixed 45-degree angle. All that gets heated are one's hands and face. (I used "one's" because the round face plate can only be aimed toward one person at a time.) The face plate should be adjustable. None the less, this heater sure makes it much nicer getting through an 8-hour shift as a golf course marshal on a cold day. And just one bottle of propane makes it through an entire shift.

THis heater works as advertised. The only problem I had was that the cup adapter fits only the small diameter cupholders. In my cart these are only on the sides right by the cart cover - not good. You want this heater mounted in the approximate center of the dash board area. I had to make an adapter for the adapter to fit the larger cupholders there in my Club Car. Then I ran a bungie cord from the mirrors at each end of the dash and thru the handle of the heater. Works like a charm! I usually use it on low and with the side panels of the cart cover up. Not efficient, but it keeps the chill off when it is not too awfully cold. For the really cold mornings, zipping down the side covers and the heater on high will keep the interior very warm if not hot!

Keeping Warm on the Golf Course

We got this for the few really chill mornings on Florida's golf courses. It didn't fit quite right in the cupholder, so we put some padding around it and that did the trick.It puts out heat as soon as it's turned on. With the flaps down on the cart, the interior becomes cosy pretty quickly. Sure helps when it's only 50 degrees and a chill wind is blowing. Just get into the cart and warm up the hands before the next shot.The unit is fairly big, so it doesn't leave much room on the golf cart dash for other things like your drinks, sun glasses, etc. We knew someone that had his on the floor stand in the golf cart. It got too near to the seat and sort of melted the vinyl seat cover. Watch out for that... this gets hot and you need to take precautions not to have it too close to anything.

Great, but use extreme care.

After learning the "hard" way, the Rudder Pedals work Great! First (and very importantly) do NOT try to assign any functions to the pedals using your feet! After plugging in the USB connection put them on a flat surface and use your hands when moving the pedals to assign the right and left "Differential Brake" functions, then again using your hands, assign the "Rudder Axis" function.Secondly, do not get overly exuburent when imputing the right or left "Rudder", if you hit the stops "firmly" the pedals will LOCK-UP! You will then have to remove 20 screws, and carefully re-align the pedals so they "unlock", then have to reinstall the 20 screws! Trust me, I've done it three times (greatly increasing my "expletive deleted" vocabulary in the process!) In spite of the above, they work well. I am a retired corporate pilot and use my flight sim to practice instrument procedures.

Nice but could be a Bit Sturdier

As someone new to flight simulators, these were the first rudder pedals I have ever used. My general impression is that they work well but their flimsy construction is disconcerting. As I haven't ever used CH pedals, it is difficult to assess what would be considered sturdy for a consumer product like this. However, the Saitek pedals feel as if they would be damaged by putting any amount of weight on the pedal surface. Not only is the plastic rather thin but the whole apparatus is extremely light. Saitek should have used some inexpensive ballast to rectify the latter problem.Unfortunately, the light weight means they are not stable when used straight out of the box. With several through holes, the designers are probably suggesting the user mount the base to a heavier object. To use them on carpet, I took a different approach. In each of the eight holes, I mounted a set screw with a flat machined end. These were adjusted with a nut and large washer (for weight distribution) to allow a 3/8" elevation. The screws will penetrate the pile and resist any forward movement. To increase the effect, I attached eight, one pound lead ingots with double-sided tape to the base. This arrangement provides a very stable platform.In my ten hours of Flight Simulator X, I haven't found any problems with pedals. However, I did observe some minor flutter on occasion when using the Saitek diagnostic software. It generally goes away after some movement.Despite concerns over the construction, the pedals have some nice features. There is an adjustable tension knob in the center of the pedals. In addition, the pedal surface is adjustable for different shoe sizes.In general, the Saitek Pro Flight Rudder pedals work well and look nice. So, this is how a good one works!

I won a set of these at the International Flight Sim Convention in Denver this summer. They beat my CH USB Pro pedals hands down. These don't over draw the power on my USB hub like the CH did. I highly recommend them.

The Msr enduro pak is awesome! I was worried it might be a bit small for my needs but it isn't. There's alot of room for your trail tools, maps, CO2 cartridges and first aid items. The construction of the enduro pak is top notch.
