Amazing photo printer!!!!

My wife and I subscribe to the idea that when you purchase something and it does what you bought it for, then it's what you needed at the time. We finally deciced it was time to replace our old printer, because we wanted to print some photo's and scan our old 35mm negatives. If there is a better tool out there then this for the money, it would truly have to be an amazing piece of technology. We have a large amount of photo's professionally printed and framed on our walls. Mostly family members. We scanned our negatives and couldn't believe the results after printing! As good as any of our framed prints, better then most, as they are aged. The scanner seems to be very fast. My wife is making scrapbooks for our children as holiday gifts. Using the scanner and printer has been no problem for her. We just ordered our second order of photo paper. The ink is lasting longer then we figured it would. We use Canon paper and ink, figuring it is a system that works very well together. I've read complaints about the size of this machine and the cost of ink refills in general for printers. This machine is not small by any means. However, place your scanner and printer on top of each other and see how big it is. And I'll bet you can't print both sides of the paper with what you've got now. As far as the ink goes, You have 7 ink tanks, instead of 2 to 4 or 5. More tanks to me mean fewer changes. And you only change the empty color instead of throwing out 3 partially used tanks to refill one empty one. This all-in-one machine does everything well!!!

Does its job very, very well.

I bought this printer/scanner primarily for it's ability to scan negatives. It does this job very, very well. A plastic holder is provided into which up to 12 negatives can be placed. The scanner is then activated and it scans each negative into a .jpg file of about 5Mb (it will also do the same for slides). It takes about 10 minutes or so to scan all 12 negatives, but it's completely automatic so you can be doing other tasks while you wait. The resulting images are really impressive. They are of quite high resolution and look beautiful. A potential negative for some is the lack of an auto feed for print scanning. If you have a bunch of prints to scan, you might want to look elsewhere.Oh yeah, this is a printer also. Like its scanning, the MP960 does this job superbly with ultra high resolution and well defined colors. I haven't compared costs, but I suspect it is cheaper to have prints made on line. Still, for the convenience a local printer can't be beat and the quality is equal to what you'll get from most online printing sources. Also, the ability to choose specific paper for different tasks is very useful as well a being a way to save a few cents.If your looking for a color printer/scanner this one is hard to beat.

Scanning quality subpar

This is a very good unit... it is fast and printing quality is excellent.The big downside is the quality of the scans... This has been mentioned in reviews but not elobrated upon..The scanner is overall fast and can scan a high dpi. However, the scans are "dull looking". There are manual controls to change saturation, sharpness, etc... (though in general it is better to do these things in Photoshop).I have scanned 100+ slides and 10-20 photos.Here are the scanning issues:1) Colors are dull2) The scanner does not do well with dark photos3) With deep colors (like water in a swimming pool) the scanner gets confused and (rarely) all colors are too deep.90% of my photos can be "fixed" using Photoshop... However, it takes time. I have to increase the saturation and adjust the levels (or curves) on each photo... an average of 5 minutes per slide (but usually more if I want it to look really good) .... I have an old Epson scanner (5 years old but it was decent at the time... so far about half of my old scans are better than the new ones)If you dont have a decent editing photo program, you may be in trouble if you are relying upon high quality scansWould I buy this again? Maybe. If you are buying this with high hopes as a reliable photo scanner, look elsewhere. For all other purposes it is great

Beautiful piece!

We first saw this cabinet on Target.com [where it DOES state that assembly is required] and decided to purchase it as a kitchen pantry. We were lucky enough to find it in-store, saving us a small fortune in shipping cost.It's a beautiful piece, well made, and not all that hard to assemble [2 hours], but it's quite a bit darker than the picture. Still beautiful and very functional.

Keeps my skin clear and then some!

I bought this to use as a scrub and didn't expect anything but some exfoliation. This is so much more than a scrub and has actually kept my skin clear for over a year now. It's not marketed as an acne product but it does an amazing job of clearing without overdrying. I've had adult acne my entire adult life and this, coupled with the PTR's Max Correction Pads, are the winning combo I have spent literally decades trying to find. I use this in the evening after I remove my makeup, add eye cream, and I'm good to go. I wake up glowing. In the a.m. I wash with Cetaphil and follow that with a Max Correction Pad and that's it. Clear, exfoliated skin that's ready for sunscreen and makeup. This blue stuff actually works better than the yellow which was designed specifically for acne prone skin. I can see why this has won awards. It's fabulous. PTR needs to do a better job of marketing it. And Amazon has, by far, the best prices on PTR products.

Amazing!

My sister had this at her house and I decided to try it. I noticed a difference right away in my skin and purchased it when I got home. I have tried everything from Proactiv to Origins Modern Friction and even Oil of Olay. Nothing has cleared up my skin and made it better than this product. It's gentle enough to use daily and won't dry out my skin. I even switched my daughter over to it and have noticed a huge change in her skin as well. I have even tried other other Peter Thomas Roth buffing beads and love them ALL!

I had read about this in an online blog and immediately went to Amazon to see what real people were saying. I liked what I read so I got some. Margaret is absolutely right about this product! It is the absolute best thing I have ever cleaned my 62 yr old skin with! I use it every day and am amazed at the disappearance of small skin bumps that I have been plagued with for years. I follow it with Peter Thomas Roth facial creme and feel great all day. You will not find a better price than on Amazon--I tried!

Wonderful Product

With have dogs and using our French doors all the time, I wanted something that would not bang every time the door would open and close. I also have allergies so this is the perfect solution. They are so easy to install and look wonderful. The glass is easy to clean and perfect for those of us who have animals and children. They are so worth the money! It took us about 20 minutes to install both. Now all I have to do is paint the trim to match the door and it will be perfect.

ODL Blinds for flush frame door

I purchased this product after reading many reviews and actually seeing the product at a local home improvement store. I was a little concerned about the price however was really pleased with the product. I was able to install the blinds with ease and they look great. One of the blinds was not working properly so I contacted the manufacturer. After multiple attempts (was hung up on) I was able to take apart both blinds and fix them myself without the assistance from the manufacturer and now they are working great. The product is great however the service from the company was not.

INGREDIENT LIST NOT COMPLETE ON AMAZON.. PARABENS***

I almost purchased this creme based on the reviews and ingredient list. I double checked the ingredient list on the Peter Thomas Roth website & there they were.. PARABENS. Proplyparaben, Methylparaben. Cheap preservatives used by manufacturers to extend the shelf life. Parabens are endocrin distruptors that have an estrogen like effect in your body & play havoc on your hormone levels. Breast cancer patients with "estrogen" type cancer are to avoid products with such ingredients because they are known to stimulate tumors. I find it suspicious that Amazon conveniently left those ingredients off the posted list......

Ahhhhhh, lovely!!!

Okay, i bought this item because of the great customer reveiws, and I am glad I did. I have been using this product for the past two weeks and the results are amazing. Really, my skintone has improved, I am pale, but prone to redness, I live in Colorado and it is dry dry dry here, and the sun shines all the dang time. I am 40 and starting to see fine lines around my eyes and it was getting to be really depressing for me. So I took a chance that this product might help me. Well, my skin is very creamy and the fine lines are virtually gone. I really cannot see them anymore. It is weird, but even when I smile, they look much much finer, and have to look closely to even find a trace of them. I am going to buy as many jars of this that i can afford once my next check comes in, because I am afraid that they may stop making this product, as is what happens to things you really like, all the sudden you cant find them anymore. I also have applied this on my neck and chest, they are very sun damaged, and I see improvements there as well. I really swear by this. I am impressed by what I see in the mirror now. Thanks!

Great Shoes! Buy them.

I trained for - and ran the Air Force Marathon in these shoes. Awesome shoes. Wonderful support for my flat feet; they did not get tired. The Aetrex foot support and superior cushioning is unmatched in the industry. You have to feel the difference to really believe it.If you are running and you weigh over 175 pounds, then you need to invest in these shoes. I have had friends buy running shoes from Aetrex, and they love them too.I have 51 years of experience in this world, flat feet, a weight of 186 pounds, and try to run 2-3 times a week. I run on both concrete streets and on running trails. I wear a size 14, but run in a 15 to allow for foot expansion in the longer distance runs, as I prefer to keep my toenails on my toes. ;)I am currently running in the Boss Runner, another incredible product from Aetrex. I have also run in the Rhino. (I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in the Rhino.) I have been running in Aetrex shoes exclusively since 2005.I fully recommend any of the Aetrex running shoes - I just wish they would make the Sedona Trail Runners in size 15!

Excellent shoes but very dorky looking

My feet are quite wide and hard to fit. I also have a bunion and a Morton's Neuroma on my left foot. These shoes in the men's XW are wide enough to give my toe room to breathe. My painful feet are far less painful since I've been wearing these. They are possibly, the ugliest shoes I have owned (I like funky, but these are dorky). But my comfort and health are more important to me than my vanity. Aetrex makes a great shoe.Update 2/18/13: I still really like these shoes, but I think they should be a lot wider at 3E!!! I'm a woman and my feet measure at an 8.5-9 women's size. I had to buy these in an 8.5 3E men's size. And there are still days when I feel them pressing against my toes and squishing them in a bit. For the size, they should be more generous.

Smells genuine ...

I've always loved this fragrance and was disappointed when it was discontinued. Very happy to see it available again. I took off a couple of stars because while it came in what appears to be a genuine box it did show up without a top. Makes me wonder why it was missing ... still it does smell as i remembered.
