We first saw this cabinet on Target.com [where it DOES state that assembly is required] and decided to purchase it as a kitchen pantry. We were lucky enough to find it in-store, saving us a small fortune in shipping cost.It's a beautiful piece, well made, and not all that hard to assemble [2 hours], but it's quite a bit darker than the picture. Still beautiful and very functional.
