Very good but flawed

The cover is ruggedly made and attractive, but I find that it fits too snugly on the printerin actual use. I have to be careful every time I remove it, or else the 3800's rear paperguide detaches and falls off, gripped by the stiff and heavy fabric of the cover, whichis otherwise thoughtfully tailored to fit over the rear guide. One could argue thatEpson should have designed the rear paper guide to attach more securely to the 3800,but I wonder how much testing and tweaking the cover's designer did with their productsitting on an actual 3800. I recommend this cover with this one caveat.

Great cover

I researched the Epson Sylus printer that I purchased and discovered that it suffers from a weak hinge on on one of its doors and many people lost that door by the second month. I decided to preempt this problem by purchasing the Tumi cover which cam recommended highly and now I can see why. Made of medium "ballistic" nylon it has "heft" and fits like a glove. Stiff enough to hold its shape and flexible enough to conform to the printer. It even has a built-in pouch that fits over the paper feed tray so the tray doesn't have to be completely closed. Great design, great engineering, great product.

Keep your photo prints dust free.

Electronics like dust; the collect it like it is mana from heaven. This can be very bad with a photo printer; the last thing you want is for a lot of dust to collect on your printer and then makes its way onto to your photo while it is printing. Thus, dust covers are a must!Sure there are plenty of generic dust covers out there, but most of those are made from plastic which discolors and dries out and doesn't hold up very well in the long run. That is where the Tumi Printer Cover for the Epson 3800 comes in. I was a little skeptical of the price at first because of my past experiences with printer covers; but, once I received it, I could see what I was paying for. This is not your typical printer cover.The Tumi Printer Cover is well constructed of ballistic nylon - the same stuff used to make indestructible outdoor gear bags. And, it fits perfectly over my Epson 3800, completely covering down to the table it sits on, and it leaves little space under it for pockets of air full of dust to enter.Like another reviewer, I have noticed that installing and removing the cover takes a little effort because of the rear paper feed, but that is only because Epson hung it off the printer with little to secure it. I have found that once you do it a couple of times, it is not a problem.

This is a Must have

This is one of those must have's.. I have big to medium burners on my stove, (gas) when I want something to simmer just a little for a long time, this is a must. It keeps my soups, stews etc. from burning. gives a more even heat, and I have Calphalon commercial cookware.It keeps my stove cleaner, from foods that might boil over, or splatter. If you have a stove with smaller burners, the flame will spread out farther underneath for a more even cooking. This one says it's non-stick, which looks better then what I have!I bought mine at William Sonoma, and Calphalon only makes it for them.But mine is the same size, same price. Years ago I had one that was a smaller size, and cast iron, this one is bigger and more even heat. Just remember when using this, it will take a bit longer to heat up your pots, and do not touch it with out using a pot holder.It stays HOT for a long time.

So far so good.

Just put it on the stove and heating it up right now. The reason I got this one is because it was the only one I could get in a 9" which fits my burners to a "T". Otherwise I would have opted for a cheaper one.Anyway, the surface looked so slick when I pulled it out of the package I was afraid if I shook the pan the plate would fall off the burner so I almost returned it unused. I tested sliding heavy fry and saute pans and unbelievably it remains stationary. i wonder how they did that?Ok, so it's nice and hot now and I cant get it to budge off the burner by sliding and shaking the heavy pot full of ham and beans across it. NICE!I bought two of these because I can't afford the expensive cookware that cooks evenly and I have 10 lbs of veal bones sitting in my freezer for months now waiting on a decent pan to make demi glace. Still don't have the pan, but I know now I can put my cheap pan from oven to stove top and deglaze without scorching the pan or the bones and mirepoix. EEh Yah!To justify spending this much money on these plates I told my husband, it's a lot cheaper than buying the $1000s of dollars worth of pans I need. So I just turned my cheap cookware into something really special and expensive for under $100.00.I'll try to update as far as the evenness of the cooking goes.Off to thaw some veal bones!Update: I cooked the beans til almost dry in my cheap flimsy pan and they did not scorch or stick! This is a winner! Now I know what it's like to have expensive pans. Woo hoo!!UPDATE:After using them a while the wow factor went by the way side. I now use those flimsy cheap tin things that rust. It works 10 times better. I think they are sold for camping. Don't waste your money on this, if you want a long simmer you need some kind of air flow. Yes you will get a better heat distribution with this, but still I wouldn't waste my money again.UPDATE: 1/19/13I threw them out and still use the cheapo flimsy tin burner guard/flame protector. It's the best thing out there. I know cause I have a custom flame tamer that came with my pricy Kitchen aid gas stove. The custom one works well, but for some things I still have to pull out the cheapo tin and put it on top of the custom flame tamer.Don't wast your money on this. There are better things on the market.

Great At First

I've had a set for three years; two with heavy use on a gas range, and one year in storage. Not sure when it happened, but both plates are warped. I also have a set of the less expensive Nordicware, and while they're not as efficient (especially on a low flame), they're in better shape after equally heavy use.

Nice sound & reasonably priced

I installed this system on my 03 A4 Quattro to replace the stock system that was old and cracked. It sounds great, and was well priced. The system itself although not visible once installed looks very nice and appears to be excellent quality. Looks the same as stock from the rear.Pros:Overall great product. excellent sound, quality, and price.Cons (READ IF YOU OWN QUATTRO):On my QUATTRO one of the hangers consistently digs into the rear drive shaft when I made left hand turns. It was a pretty horrendous grind / pinging. I had to do some modifications to get this to stop. If you are buying this for a Quattro I would let whoever installs it know to look out for the hanger in the rear half that is closest to the drive shaft and see if they can do something for you to add some extra clearance, I only added maybe and it never grinds anymore. This would not be an issue on a FWD A4.

THAT didn't suck!

I can't believe the price on this thing. This was an impulse buy I don't regret. I've been playing for roughly 18 years, and this is what I have to say.The Pros:The factory setup doesn't suck like most cheap guitars.High quality sealed tuners (grovers?)Pickups that don't suck. They're middle of the road, a bit bright, but sound great.The Cons:My particular guitar's tone and volume pots were not tightened all the way. This may not be a problem with most units, but if I was a beginner, I would have thought nothing of it, and eventually trashed the wiring inside.Microphonic feedback: It's not a major issue, but if you like gain, be careful with this dude. I've only spent about an hour with this guitar, but it seems the wiring or the pickups may be microphonic. It could be the light wood of the body, though. You can get PLENTY of gain before this becomes a practical problem.The body is way lighter than the neck. Not horribly like my old Ibanez Artist that wants to nose-dive every time I let go of the neck, but it's noticeable. Again, the wood the body is made of is VERY light.Verdict:This is an incredible guitar for the price. Cheap guitars in this price range are typically made of plywood, have poor quality pickups, and have serious setup issues (truss rod, intonation, action, so-on). On all counts, this is a quality instrument, perfect for a beginner, and a great starting point for an experienced or pro guitarrist looking for his next back-up ax. I'm not too proud to rock this thing on stage.

Sized smaller than the tag

This is a very well made product. It is just a wonderfull looking dress. I bought the XL in the adult it said it would fit a 14 to 18. This is not even close. The slip has no give at all. The dress has only maybe an inch of give. The size is a lot smaller than any normal XL. Just make sure you buy it at least two or three sizes to big and it should fit perfectly. I would deffinatly buy again. Just a bigger size.

Well made, but NOT generous sizing

This costume was very well-made, compared to most store bought costumes. It looks authentic and detailed;however, the sizing leans very small. I am a size 6 and I JUST fit into the medium. Also, I am not happy with the fact that I paid shipping for all three of the items I ordered through Amazon separately. It was very costly in the end. Next time I will most likely go to one of those cheesy Halloween stores to avoid all of the what I consider extra shipping costs.

Not What I expected and I'm dissappointed

I couldn't wait to wear this costume today for our company's Halloween party. A word to the wise . . . try it on! I ordered the correct size based on the company's sizing chart, but it didn't fit me at all (too small). I was actually hoping it wasn't going to be too big because I ordered a size bigger than I normally would have.This is a really cool costume, but to say that it is sized too small is an understatement. I was really disappointed when I had to go to the party with no costume. :-(Now, for Halloween, I have to go through the trouble of sending this back and finding a last minute Halloween costume for Saturday (today is Thursday). I am not a happy camper.

After a long search I bought this one..

I looked at this camera the Panasonic hvx200, the sonys, the jvc 200, and even Canon's bigger brother the X1. I found this one to have fantastic reviews on DVinfo.net, a great video forum. My concerns about 24f vs 24p were addressed to my satisfaction- there really isn't a difference. I like tape vs the HVX's expensive storage solutions. One concern I had was, will it look like a pro camera? That is important in some situations where your equipment gives you added credibilty with clients and talent.As soon as I opened the box I was in love! This is a really substantial camera. Especially with the opt wide angle from Canon and the matte box provided, this does not look like your mama's camcorder.I really like the manual controls, so that you don't have to go thru menus to change parameters. The layout of everything is great. I really like the dual on/off and zoom controls- top of handle plus rear right side. Holding the handle for low or medium height shots is very, very comfortable and the controls are perfectly positioned.Only down side- and it is incidental. The matte box is a bit flimsy- lightweight plastic. That helps with weight, but I worry about breaking it. Some may say that HDV codec is not as good as DVCpro, but my eye does not see it. The colors are magnificent and it blows away many other cams in low-light.If you are looking for point and shoot, this is not your baby, but if you want a pro quality camera for a really great price- this is it!

Perfect companion for XL-H1

About 1 year ago I bought an XL-H1 and a Sony HVR-A1U to do work on a documentary. Though the Sony has proved to be a great camera in its own right, it doesn't cut well with the XL-H1, and the image quality in bright light was near as good, in darker settings, things just fell apart. So I bought this camera XH-A1. I thought when I bought the XL-H1 I would end up buying a second when I could afford it, but I found no compelling reason on a couple of counts. (1) Jack pack is wonderful if you are planning to haul around a RAID array and a generator. I'm sure this would be allot of fun for the run a gunner like myself ;-) (sarcasm). Even though I have heard people criticize the HDV format for compression and artifacts not seen as much with the uncompressed format you get from the HD/SDI output.. I personally think maybe its 1 person in a 1000 who could tell the difference in the end (and they might be faking, I can't). This pictures is NOTHING short of Stunning period. (2) I thought having two cameras that I could syncronize with the clocks would be really needed.. but its really not that difficult to do in an editor by just finding a synchronizing frame (like a handshake, etc) and going from there. (3) I wanted the TC output to drive an external 24 bit audio recorder (this camera doesn't have it the HL-H1 does). Well, after getting it to work, I never used it.. I did lots of 24 bit recording, but like the video, it was easy enough to synchronize externally in the editor later. The autofocus on this camera is hugely improved over the xl-h1. I NEVER run the XL-H1 in "auto" anything, this camera I do as it seems to have more smarts, though I STRONGLY suggest putting the gain into "LOW" not auto and setting it for -3 in the menu setups. Also, Always do manual white balance. I still favor running about everything in manual as its better control and fewer unexpected problems, but I would trust this camera far more than the XL-H1 in auto.DOWNSIDES:For me, there are only two downsides to this camera (1) Wide angle lens - I know there is a screw on available, I haven't tried it.. but the $3K canon wide angle lens (almost the same price as this camera!) is just amazing, I wonder how great this one is. (2) Power of the big camera.. as much of a joke as it may sound.. I have gotten several interviews and in several places because the XL-H1 is huge, expensive, and professional looking. I have walked though security at events because the guys "assume" I am with something official (just an independent doc), and have seen them stop guys with huge expensive still cameras, etc.. its actually very funny, but if you understand human nature.. it makes people take you seriously. The XH-A1 performs every bit as good, but lacks that effect to the same degree (though it still looks pretty "professional"). I hope that helps.Last comment, unless you're going to film (I think 24F is pretty bogus) try 30F, looks much smoother and better. People fell in love with the distortion of vinal recordings, but it was still distortion. 24F (p) is the same thing.. looks jerky, maybe more like a movie, but if you have a better technology why on earth would you like something inferiour? My 2 Cents.

Much better than the no-name alternatives

I have been using refilled cartridges and no-name brands to keep the costs down on my Samsung printer, but there is always something going wrong with them - spilling toner, dramatically fewer pages, etc. Using the name-brand Samsung cartridge is definitely more expensive, but it's worth it to avoid the headaches of the others.

Noisy, but effective

This product helped clean the air immediately. My cat quit having asthma attacks. But I have to turn it off if I want to watch TV because even on low the noise is loud. I can't leave it on at night as it keeps me awake.

Does the job

I have no instruments to measure this, but this air cleaner seems to take in a large volume of air and clean it very effectively with HEPA filter. It has three speeds and can be anything from quiet and ready to maintain the clean air to very loud and able to clean dirty air. White color helps it look less like an industrial item in a bedroom.

Great Ptoduct

I just installed the exhaust on my car today. It was really easy to put in and sounds great. You will need a rear valance with two exhaust tip spots though. I just got the stock one for a 3.2L model and it fits perfect

Of all the sheets I have bought, these are absolutely the best. I have purchased thread counts from 300 to 1200, and I would say this particular sheets are the ones I mostly use.
