3Good, But Some Issues
By Pileated
We've been using the 322 for about 3 years and generally speaking it has served well. It's located downstairs and controls TVs in the livingroom and in our upstairs bedroom. The signal between the receiver and the upstairs radio remote is good. Dish replaced the radio remote when it failed after about 1.5 years for free. The remotes are nicely laid out. The receiver hiccups from time to time, and that's about as specific as I can be. This is fairly high tech stuff and sometimes it seems to get a little confused. Unplugging for a few minutes usually cures this. When electrical power returns after an outage, or if the unit has been unplugged (see above), the receiver needs to reacquire satellite signals. It can take up to 10 minutes. This receiver is definitely not "green." It draws about 30 watts even when it's "off." Unplugging it when not in use invokes the reacquisition process when plugged in again. I don't like to leave everything plugged in all the time, especially since electrical storms can cause problems where I live. We switched to Dish in the first place because a storm knocked out our DirecTv dish---and they wanted hundreds just to come out and look at it. I tend to unplug things a lot now, so watching the Dish 322 reacquire the sat signals is one of life's little annoyances. If someone can offer me an Energy Star receiver I'll likely take them up on it.

3Requires second cable from dish
By M. Bieganowski
Works as advertise. However, with the standard DishPRO dish, a second cable must be run from the dish to this box (and then a cable to the second TV). The picture on the second TV is not the greatest. I may be able to clean up the cabling after the snow melts and improve the picture.

5Rock Solid
By Scott Spence
This tripod is simple to use and rock solid. I use it with my Canon EOS40-D and, as expected, have had no issues. However, I also use it with a 60mm Maksutov-Cassegrain high resolution telescope when I don't need or want auto guiding capabilities. The stability is most apparent when looking at deep sky objects where a 1/64" movement in the tripod results in light years of movement in the eyepiece. Even on breezy evenings, this tripod is very solid. In the event I ever need another tripod, I will certainly choose one from the Silk line of tripods.

4Excellent light-duty tripod for students and hobbyists
By J. Weiss
I've had this tripod for about four years now. For students and hobbyists, this tripod represents a fabulous value. It is lightweight and compact, but expands to a reasonable height. With a light camera and a light lens, the tripod is quite stable with the center column all the way down, and subject to quite a bit more sway with the column extended but still quite usable. Heavier camera and lens combinations quickly overwhelm this tripod, though. Slik claims a 300mm lens will be fine but I can assure you that this is not the case unless your lens is plastic, my D300 and Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 lens is way too much weight for this guy to remain stable. With a lighter camera like a D50 and a less ridiculous lens, however, this tripod is more than adequately stable. The head is reasonably smooth and operates well, though it's definitely no-frills. The handles are removable and can be threaded into one another for easy storage.Over time, grit will enter this tripod, causing the legs to operate less and less smoothly. There is no easy way to disassemble the tripod for cleaning. These are major drawbacks, but for light-duty use no big deal.Overall this is a great tripod for the student or occasional shooter, and makes a great backup or travel tripod for anyone. Dollar for dollar, it's one of the best deals going, though it's certainly not the best lightweight tripod out there by a longshot.

5Solid Tripod For The Price
By Buck Wheat
Be careful who you purchase this tripod from because when SLIK sells them the carrying bag and quick release shoe are included in the box which mine where when I ordered it from CrutchField $129.95 + Free Shipping, Some of the Unscrupulous camera store's located out of NY city like B&H Photo along with Abe's of Maine break open the boxes and remove the Slik Bag and the mounting shoe and resell it to you for a Big profit, so before you by ask if the above items are included and if there not buy else where. If you doubt me call SLIK and ask them whats included in the box.

4Works fine for me.
By C. Ruehlen
I recently hooked my S100 up to my car and everything seems to work just fine. The only problem i had was setting the fm transmitter to a channel that didn't have any interference from radio stations. Problem solved by connecting Sirius's FM direct Adapter(which connects through the cars antenna plug). No more static in any city. So the only real problem is that this car kit doesn't come with the FM direct adapter which was $20.

5Works Great!!
By Lost in L.A.
I just had this installed in my car yesterday at Circuit City for about $76--well worth the price of professional installation! (And much cheaper than BEST BUY!) They did a great job, wired the power and the antenna directly into the radio & behind the dashboard--no wires at all. However, as some other reviewers have noted, be sure to get an FM Modular tie-in thingamajig, only costs $20 on Amazon (cheaper than in-store), and the reception is 1000% better, no interference whatsoever vs. a wireless FM hookup. I believe the other reviewers are correct when they say the Stiletto has a much weaker FM broadcast than the previous Sirius models. One other small drawback: the dashboard mounting arm that is supplied w/this unit is a bit short. Because of the way my car is configured (older Infiniti I30) the docking station is a bit low, not exactly where I want it. I think I'm going to invest in an aftermarket Sirius gooseneck mount, which sells on Amazon for $17-$25,Arkon SR-88 15-inch Flexible Gooseneck Satellite Radio Mount for Delphi Skiff or Sirius Satellite Radios as it looks like a better solution.Other than that, this is a great product for your Sirius radio. Howard rules!!

2Do not buy unless you will connect it though the audio output
By S. Benyaacov
I recently purchased the car kit (as the Stiletto does not have an FM transmitter). The FM transmitter works, but not well. The signal it emits is not strong at all, and as a result, you can barely hear Siruis from my car stereo (irrespective of what channel you select). The problem is not acquiring the signal from the satellite to the Stiletto (that is very good); the problem is the car kit emitting the single to the car stereo. I assume, but have not yet tried, that connecting the car kit via the audio output will solve this problem, but if you intend to use the car kit without an audio output line, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. It will result in nothing more than frustration.

5Great buy for the Stiletto
By J. Moyer
I was very pleased with this product. I just set the small antenna on my window sill and got a great satellite signal. I can listen through any speakers with a radio using the FM transmitter and connect directly to my stereo system. This product is pretty inexpensive, and is really worth it for having the convenience of listening to a great signal throughout the house. This product is a must have if you own a Stiletto.

5Titanium rules!
By Andynator
This kit is perfect for two hikers. The small 30-ounce pot is large enough to hold a 220-gram fuel canister with stove, washcloth, and a small bottle of soap nested on top; or you can create more room by packing a smaller 110-gram fuel canister instead. The small lid/plate is 5 x 1.5 inches. The large lid/plate is 5.75 by 1.5 inches. The large pot will boil about 1.3 - 1.4 liters of water - enough for two large two-person dehydrated meals, plus water left over for coffee. As soon as it comes off the stove, I put on the smaller pot to heat water for washing and clean-up.We've also broken the kit up to pack our own items separately (powdered drinks, ti cups, etc) but then we end up fighting over who gets to use the mesh stuff sack :(Some people argue that titanium cookware is the best for hiking because of the low weight, but I've always felt that is moot point because everyone stuffs their cookset to the gills when packing it. The thing I like best about ti is that it seems to be naturally non-stick, much more so than aluminum; and it cools VERY quickly.

5Cook set
By jgreen302
I basically acquired this set one piece at a time. My goal was a lightweight portable food solution. My real concerns were weight and the price was a bit scary. Using an alcohol stove and after 50 meals? prepared. I felt I was at a point where I could actually provide a value review. I am beyond pleased. Lightweight, well made, and they clean up better than teflon. If I had to head out and life for an extended time I would not be thinking about my kitchen with this equipment. You are golden with this equipment. If you are family camping with a suburban ten feet away this gear really isn't for you. But if you are taking a 7 day walk in the woods, drop the cash and get this and be done for life. I liked this equipment so much after testing I checked on what else these folks made and without thought acquired their version of the items I need. This review was earned.

5Wonderful Titanium Cookware
By Shavuotis
We used this cook set after purchasing it last year for a week long camping trip. We used it with a home made bush buddy stove, an MSR Windpro, Optimus Nova Stove, and an alcohol stove. It worked well with all stove configurations. The titanium cleans easily and really doesn't need a non-stick coating if you are careful. The soot on it from the bush buddy knock off cleaned off fairly easily also. The handles aren't silicone coated but I keep a thick wash cloth in the cook set for a pot holder and it works fine. I keep this set in my back pack and while it is not for ultralight hikers, you can split the two pots and lids between two hikers and do just fine. I am a gear hog and my wife thankfully is also, so as soon as possible, we intend to round out the kit with the Mini Solo Titanium Cook Set from Snow Peak too. If you are looking for good durable titanium cookware, then this is the stuff to get.

5Volume buttons do work if you know how to use them! DUH! SO CUTE AND SO POWERFUL!!
By Patty
Okay, I don't know why some people are complaining about the touch volume keys. At first when I got this product, I FREAKED out because I couldn't make the volume lower or higher- what I realized was that you can't just touch it with the tip of your finger. You need to like press it with your thumb lightly and with your index finger grab the other side. This can be done lightly- do it as if your trying to touch the tips of your fingers together with the volume key in between them.I have no complaints EXCEPT that the bass button is on the subwoofer is a little hard to access. My subwoofer is on the floor so in order to increase the bass, I need to basically get on my hands and knees and turn the button that is next to all the other output wires. It's a bit hard to turn since the other wires are kind of blocking it. This is the ONLY negative thing. These speakers are little and produce the craziest amount of sound. If you're considering getting cute speakers that are girly and that are really strong and play REALLY good base- GET THEM! (By the way, they don't have wires coming from the speakers, they look like jumping rope which is easier to manage and so frikin cute).I'm a 23 year old med school student and I LOVE THESE!!! :)

2Look cool, sound OK, but volume keys don't work at all
By Shazam
I bought these speakers because they looked so cool. Very innovative design. The sound is pretty good, but not great -- decent highs, but the bass from the subwoofer isn't as strong as I would like. Based purely on the design and sound, I would recommend these speakers to others. But I cannot recommend these speakers since they have a "fatal flaw". JBL really messed up when they made the volume buttons touch sensitive. Interesting concept, except that they don't work AT ALL. I can't raise or lower the volume, or mute the speakers. I'm stuck listening to everything at the default volume level. In reading some blogs, it turns out that others are experiencing the same problem that I am. Sounds like a fundamental design flaw in the product.I applaud JBL's effort to bring some style to the PC speaker market, but they went too far with the volume keys, putting form ahead of function.

When I bought these JBL I expected really good quality, but I got something even better, the sound is very crisp, the bass is perfect, the sound is just great to fill not just the room, even the garden next to the computer room is full of music. Great product, completely satisfied.
