bought as additional mount for my other M/C. What you see is what you get.Like others, thought cable might be included. (yea, right) Cheaper to purchase both together & save if you need a cable too. Garmin box included tiny screws for mounting wire plug and the four larger SS bolts and nuts for mounting your ball swivel or other attachment. Yes, the tiny special-cut security screwdriver was included too. 5 stars if the cable came with it...are you listening Garmin? didn't think so

Only Game in Town

The Garmin Zummo 550 is an excellent motorcycle NAV unit.This mount is the only option I know of to mount it to the bike.This mount replaced my original, after two seasons of riding, due to erosion of the plastic near the locking pins at the top, and one of the pins breaking off.Also, the audio output through the headphone jack lost the left channel due to corrosion on the mount contact pins.I don't know of any other mount for this NAV unit, so I will likely be buying one every year or two. (it lasted 20,000 miles on my Kawasaki Concours 1000, a very "buzzy" bike)Hope this helps...Amazon had the best deal on this replacement mount.

Not very watertight.

I got caught in a rainstorm yesterday while on a motorcycle ride. Zumo 550 started popping error messages such as "device not connected" etc. Finally got the "Continue on battery power?" message. No longer any power from the hardwired connection to the bike's system. I traced the fault to the cradle; the power lead was still hot and properly grounded. Removed and disassembled the cradle-a lot of water inside which had apparently shorted something out the circuit board in the cradle. Tried drying it out, but it was completely dead. No choice but to buy a new one. Dialectric grease on everything.

High Altitude Bunn impressions

Sep 20, 2009: I've owned this product for two days now. So far so good. Amazon packaged this item well and I got free delivery in 4 days. Thanks Amazon! I'm very pleased with your service.This coffee maker is replacing a Braun unit, which gave me nothing but grief with its numerous problems. I did quite a bit of research on Consumer Reports (CR) and Amazon and decided on the Bunn. I respect CR, but sometimes their recommendations don't match owners' experiences, who use a particular product for a much longer time than CR's testers do. Because of this, I value the owner reviews on Amazon.This coffee maker has a nice look to it--at least for my taste. The funnel and a decanter's handle seem a bit flimsy. I have a preference for sturdier things. Still, I don't expect them to give me trouble in the future. If they do, I can get replacements from Bunn or a reseller.You *really* have to pay attention to the setup instructions, which are good. I failed to write down the serial number ("date code") on the bottom of the unit, so I had to go through a lengthy step to drain the reservoir in order to get at the info necessary to register my coffee maker. (The extra time was needed to cool the hot water in the reservoir. Bunn's FAQ has the exact steps.)In any case, one should take the time to read the instructions carefully--especially, since this coffee maker operates differently than most others. For example, adding water and closing the top lid starts the hot water to flow immediately (ie. starts the coffee making process). There's no switch to push. So you'd better have the funnel and the decanter in place, otherwise you'll have a major mess to clean up. I've made some pots of coffee by now and got a hang of it. It's not tricky at all--just different.As one reviewer already suggested for the non-high altitude model, you can save on energy by using a timer. I use an X10 3-prong Appliance Module for the coffee maker along with a programmable Mini Timer. (You can get these from x10.com. Despite their weird web site, their gadgets work. Radio Shack used to re-sell their stuff.) The Mini Timer turns power on to the coffee maker via the Appliance Module at 5am and shuts it off at 5pm. So the water is heated 12 hours per day, when I'm likely to want to make coffee. I still must be physically present to make a pot of coffee and don't believe that any automation is possible. This is fine by me, since brewing is so quick.I don't use the warmer plate at all. Instead, I pour the hot coffee into the thermal carafe from my decommissioned Braun coffee maker. This keeps the coffee acceptably hot for hours. Similar thermal carafes are available for $20-30 from Amazon.Some people complained that the glass carafe makes a mess when pouring coffee from it. I didn't encounter this problem. I'm sure it's related to pouring "technique."On CR's recommendation I ordered a new and inexpensive coffee grinder from Amazon (Mr. Coffee IDS77), which should give me control over grind quantity and level of coarseness. I haven't yet received this grinder and therefore can't comment on its efficiency.Again, on CR's recommendation I bought Eight O'Clock Coffee 100% Colombian caffeinated coffee, which was their top choice and it's not very expensive. I used this coffee today. It was fine and not bitter.As other people already pointed out, you can get Bunn filters inexpensively. I found sites that sell them in bulk for $14/1,000.In summary: I like my new Bunn. The coffee it made came out tasting great and the brewing process is very fast. If anything changes, I'll post an update.

Bunn NHVX-B(D) Generation High Altitude 10 cup coffee brewer

I bought this coffeemaker after reading many reviews (like this one I'm writing!). It really helped that someone had mentioned the need to get the high altitude model, since we live near Denver, over a mile high. The review I read said that the warming plate will get too hot on most models (boiling point related to altitude, and all that science info...) on most models.Someone else wrote about the carafe not pouring well. I have not had even one problem with pouring.I love my new Bunn coffeemaker. It truly brews 10 cups of delicious, silky coffee in mere minutes. I'm enjoying some right now! Cleanup is a breeze.The warming plate still seems to get too hot if the coffee is left for some time, so that is something that is better than usual on this model, but not perfect.Nowadays, you can easily spend around $100 for a good coffeemaker. My Bunn should be an investment that will last for years.

BEST COFFEE POT!

I have used many coffee pots over the years from perc to drip to stove top espresso. And i tried manydifferent models of all of these.Included in the mix were espresso machines that did not work either.So i gave up ever thinking that i could make a good hot cup of coffee at the altitude we reside at whichis over 7,000 ft. But finally there is a coffee pot that does work well at high altitudes and it is this one. If youhave wanted good coffee and hot coffee in the same cup this machine will do it. This is a great machine.I'll admit to one small minor drawback and that is i turn it off after we are finished with the morning coffeesince we only drink coffee in the a.m. I then have to remember to quickly turn it on as soon as i get upso that it will be ready for use in ten to fifteen minutes. However this will not be an issue in the winter as wedrink coffee throughout the day then. Great product!

Good Product That Works

If you are looking for a functional macro, for example to take pictures of individual flowers, keep in mind that these extension tubes work better on telephoto lenses for this purpose.Use of any of these tubes on a lens with a focal length of less than 55mm (on a digital camera with an APS-C sensor, 1.5x crop) will result in a focusing distance so close you would only be able to photograph the individual stamen. For example, with the 36mm tube on a 50mm lens, I could capture a human hair from a few inches away. Even the 12mm on a 50mm lens results in an exceptionally close focusing distance (eg, photographing a small nail). However, with the 12mm tube on an 85mm lens, I can capture a flower at about 18 inches away.The tubes are decently made. I have the light-weight plastic Nikon lenses, so not a problem for these and no flexing.

Another essential tool for the photographers bag. AF and metering worked well with Nikon D70. Takes a bit of practice, but it makes you a better photographer. Like having a prime 50mm. You'll find yourself (tripod) moving instead of zooming. Makes photgraphing macros challenging and very fun. Amazing shots. Tripod is almost manditory.Wish the build quality was a little better. Extensions are plastic (& aluminum) and feel flimsy. Mounted a 70-300mm with all three extension, noticed bowing on the outside, but pictures were fine. Didn't trust it, had to have a hand on the lens. Feels fragile with with all three mounted. Still works perfect though.Very fun to photograph macro shot with any lens. Opens a whole new world. Great kit, lots of options. Made in Japan. Probably more durable than it looks. Buy it.

Huge disappointment!

** I am editing my review and I would give this product two instead of three stars but I can not change the star count. **I am aware that plastic is cheaper and easier for manufacturers these days and I have seen and own many quality products designed with plastic. This was not one of them. I bought these rings in high hopes of a quality product. Unfortunately, I was let down. The rings are made from a thin and flimsy plastic that visibly flexes under the weight of a heavy lens. With my Sigma 150/2.8 I can actually see the separation from the bayonet mounts from the plastic. I also used the tripod mount of the Sigma 150/2.8 but there was still visible flex with my D50. I can only imagine the situation with a D200/D2 and a Nikkor 200 macro!The whole point of extension tubes is to use them with longer focal length lenses to achieve higher magnification. Sure, I could use the lighter Nikkor 60/2.8 Macro but that lens has less than three inches of working distance without extension. As I add more extension I will have even less working distance. Therefore, extension tubes should be adequately designed to support longer and heavier macro lenses. That's why people buy them! That's their purpose!Also, the internal aperture of the tubes is APS sensor sized. This might be great for now. But, what if the Nikon D3x is full-frame or close to full-frame? Or, if I want to use the full-frame Nikkor 105 VR Macro on a F6? I'd be outta luck.

Squeak!

Why is it so hard to find a shoe with a rubber sole that won't create that embarrassing squeak? I really wanted to like these shoes and was so hopeful they wouldn't squeak, but after two weeks of wear the left shoe has started this very annoying squeak every time I walk, whether on carpet or hard surfaces...squeak, step, squeak, step!Other than that they would be fine, the fit is good, I'm a wide foot and these fit fine in wide. They are very comfortable, and I thought for sure with the Johnston & Murphy name and the price I paid I'd be getting high quality, but it doesn't look that way.Just be advised these are rubber soles, which are very comfortable, but they will go squeak, squeak, squeak on you!

Very comfortable

These are the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn. The sheepskin lining and padded insole make it feel like I'm walking on air.I had a real issue with these shoes for the first month or so after purchasing them. The soles would emit and annoying squeak with each step, even on carpet. It was embarrassing, but the solution was simple to execute, once I figured out the problem. I lifted up the heel portion of the insole and applied some WD-40 around the edges of the bottom of the interior of the shoe, so it could get in between the hard bottom and the rubber sole. Apparently those two areas were doing the squeaking, because the sound is completely gone now.

Hardware excellent, software so-so

The GPS receiver works quite well and has a range far beyond the expected 10 meters. I have used it with my laptop (which was in the house running MS Streets & Trips) and taken the receiver outside to my back yard (about 60-70 feet through walls and such) and it still was connected to my laptop. The software is a little confusing and somewhat difficult to use. This is mainly because to make it fit on a handheld device they had to divide the maps in to little pieces, about one state each. It can only have three maps active at a time and you must change maps if you pass the edge. I haven't tried other products of this type but I do like this one.

Great bluetooth GPS

I bought this GPS unit and had problems getting the bluetooth to work. I downloaded the software upgrade from Pharos along with a few updated maps and it then worked flawlessly. Quick start-up and great software. I am using it with a Dell Axim X51V and have had it for about one month with no problems. I would recommend this unit to anyone who has a compatiable PDA.

I bought one of these about a year ago from pex supply and I have not had a minutes problem with it yet. Pex even shipped to me faster than I thought they would. I have bought two of these and the one I recieved before I went with pex supply had a broken flange and that companies costumer service was absolutley horrible. I will only use pex supply in the future.

Long term review!!

I have installed a total of four of these systems for family and friends. One on my own home over 5 years ago, two on our friend's houses more than 3 years ago and one on my parents house over 4 years ago. We all have had absolutely no problems. The cold water does start out warm, but quickly becomes cold. The timer works flawless, just set it to turn on about a half hour before you normally wake up or get home. Four out of four love our systems here. Grundfos is known for there quality. We use there pumps in the field all the time with very minimal problems. Make sure you know what you're doing or the person who's installing the product know's what they're doing. Highly recommended.

Good product ...still going strong after 5 years

I had a college kid install mine 5 years ago and I've had no problems whatsoever. Yes, it does circulate the hot water into the cold pipe at your sink, but it's a small inconvenience for the HUGE amount of water it saves. I recently decided to wire my Grundfos into a push-button timer that circulates only for 10 minutes, and then automatically shut off. The clock on the pump is then set to ON so whenever the unit gets electricity from the timer (it runs for the selected time 10,20,30,60 minutes) and it automatically shuts off. This works well for our house where my wife and I just push the timer a five minutes before we take a shower. This solution might work well for the person who has it in their guest room. Alternatively, there are remote RF (radio frequency) switches (sold for woodworking vacuum systems) where you could turn the pump ON/OFF from the guest bath only when needed.Note: the timer needs electrical knowledge to install, while the RF switch is just plug-in (and has a 50 foot maximum range). hot water recirculation without a return line

I installed one of these pumps on my hot water heater more than 4 years ago. It has worked flawlessly since that time. The hot water line to my master bath is about 150 feet long. Before installing this system, I had to run the hot water in my shower for 4-5 minutes before the water was warm enough to step in. Now it takes no more than 20 seconds on a cold morning to reach an acceptable temperature.The pump and the comfort valve were fairly easy for me to install (and I'm not all that good with plumbing). I removed the old hot water flex supply line on top of my hot water heater tank, connected the pump, and then reconnected a shorter flex supply line between the pump and the hot water pipe. Then I disconnected the supply lines under the sink in my master bath and connected the comfort valve. It took me a couple of hours, including a trip to the plumbing supply store. If you have any plumbing experience at all, it should take you less.Initially I used the 24-hour timer that is built into the pump, but now Ihave it controlled by a separate 7-day timer, so that I can set it to different schedules depending on the day of the week (it comes on earlier on weekdays, and later on weekends and holidays).The pump uses the cold water line as the return, so it makes the cold water lukewarm. This is the trade off for using this system. Also, as with any type of hot water recirculator system, you're trading water savings for energy. You'll waste less water while waiting for the water to run warm, but you are using more energy in the process, to keep the hot water pipe warm, and also to run the pump itself.

multi-purpore pump

I bought this pump to descale a tankless water heater, it run's around 625 GPH give or take 25-50 GPH depending on the height from the pump to the service valve's. I use a white distilled vinegar at 5% acidity it's not as strong as commercial descalers, and won't harm the copper heat exchange or the pump. You can place the pump in a 5gal. bucket hook up some hose and let it run for 45mins. without damaging the pump. The second way is to connect two hose's to the pump and service valve's for a close cycle. I'll find my money's worth of usages for this pump. I would recommend the Little Giant to home owners.
