Inexpensive Attractive CD Storage Tower Rack

I inherited this CD tower rack and just love it. It has a simulated oak finish and is very stable and attractive. It comes with a number of adjustable shelves, so one has creativity in how it is set up. Each shelf holds about 23-15 standard case CDs. Mine came with 6 shelves. It is so easy and quick to set up. It requires a screw driver and a small hammer (for back). Despite its height, it is not tippy whatsoever. I like it in that my CDs are so easily accessible. Warning: since it has a simulated finish, one cannot place anything wet on it or the finish will warp and peel. Avoid cool water glasses on humid days!konedog

Easy to install

You cant beat the safety and ease of installation of these safety bars. Yes, they are pricey, but what is your child's safety worth? These fit best in our vertical-sliding windows. We were nervous at first about whether they would work out since there are no photos of that kind of installation, but they were very accommodating to different shapes.

Not the prettiest solution, but a safe one

Our window is right along the changing table and now that our child pulls herself up she LOVES to look out the window. One thing I didn't realize in purchasing the bars was that they can go VERTICAL as well as horizontal. I'm sure it says it somewhere, but we only realized it after we opened the box. Unlatching the bars is pretty straightforward (another duh moment was when we tried to screw in the bases without taking out the bars). Our kid rattles the bars with glee while looking out the window. Having that peace of mind and allowing fresh air to get in is perfect.

Looks good, feels good

This DVD cabinet looks good in my TV room. I don't know how much is real wood, but it feels and looks like nice, durable wood furniture. The walnut color is a dark brown. Although it's fairly heavy, and the assembly instructions are weak (one page sheet of diagrams), I had no problems putting it together it by myself in about six hours (I was intentionally patient). The unassembled parts had a few flaws on the corners of the top and bottom, but 99% of it was perfectly smooth and in good shape.Adjustable shelves can be arranged for either CD or DVD cases. I use for DVD and VHS tapes storage and they fit in mostly well. Some DVD cardboard storage boxes are a little bigger than the depth of the shelves so the door doesn't close completely, missing by < 1/4 inch. One of the storage spaces is not tall enough for typical purchased DVD jewel cases, but many of my DVD's are ones I recorded and are stored in CD size paper sleeves, so that's not wasted space for me.Bottom line, the assembled product matches the description on Amazon web site, so I got exactly what I ordered and I'm happy with it.

Two year test worked!

In 2010, I went from osteopenia to osteoporosis on my every two year bone scan. The doctor suggested Fosamax or . . . more walking and Pro Bono. I choose the Pro Bono and committed to two years. This month, Feb. 2012 my bone scan improved by .5 back into osteopenia. I continued my usual diet - fairly balanced with daily one or two glasses of red wine. It is worth every penny to avoid drugs with terrible side effects. Amazon usually has the best price, $10-15 less than my GYN. K.S. Stuart, FL

Looks pretty good but certainly has flaws

It is a pretty nice looking shelf/rack and it does fill the purpose.There are some problems in in the details, but the price is not high end, so take it for what it is worth.This is one of the few choices avaiable for a shelfing unit.Pros:1. Decent appearance2. Solid (with glue added)3. Easy wall mounting (screws not provided)4. Pleanty of shelves included ( I have mine holding 3 rows of DVDs and one short shelf and still have 2 unuued shelf boards.Cons:1. Mine has a slight crease in the back board (not a huge problem but it is there)2. Having the shelves bare on the bottom is just plain poor design for an item made to hang on a wall. Keeping the shelves tight to the size of the DVD/CD cases helps, or a black little paint would fix it.3. Screw covers do not stay in place and edges are not large enough to completely cover the silver color of the screws.4. The framing hides the fist DVD case on each shelf on the outer edge (not huge but just a poor detail design).5. Use glue during assembly (will be much more solid in the long run)6. Slightly overpriced for what it is, but it weighs 38 lbs to ship.7. Would have ben nice if it was slightly taller, just a few inches short of being able to make all shelves able to hold DVDs

Great Product---But

This is a complete kit. Everything you need will be in the carton, but there are no labels on the parts. You need to carefully identify all the pieces before you begin. The instructions could be a lot clearer, but after putting it together & taking it apart at least twice, I feel comfortable in saying that it should take less than a half hour. The finished product is beautiful and I would recommend this to anyone needing a high class wall mounted CD/DVD storage unit.

Adequate except for the wheel caps. One came off in the first 5 minutes of use, causing the wheel to fall off.We are going to have to retrofit both units by drilling a hole through the axle, and inserting a cotter pin thatshould have been utilized in the first place.

My baby LOVES SNUGGLEWOOL!

Okay WOW! My mom ordered me the snugglewool blanket, snugglewool crib mattress pad, and I ordered the changing table cover (which currently I am using in the bassinet until she grows out of her bassinet and then I will use as the changing table cover) Anyhow, it's SO soft and snuggly (hence the name) but my baby LOVES IT! I use the blanket on our bed right now (baby is 6 weeks old now) but very good, keeps her warm and cool all at the same time! We fold blanket in half at night and lay her in the middle! We love it and so does she! Would reccommend to ANYBODY! Crib mattress pad fits perfect and is SUPER soft and fluffy! Blanket we use all the time needs to be combed every now and again, but super nice!

Not soft...

I am not sure what to think. Since I was only able to see this ONE that I actually purchased in person, I don't know if it is normal or not for the wool to be so - kind of coarse and not so snuggly. I had this impression that it would be soft, fluffy, comfy, snuggly - but it's rather stiff and coarse. I've tried to wash it (correctly I am sure), I've been gentle with it - but it's been this way since out of the bag. Perhaps mine is defective or I did something wrong - I have no idea or anything else to compare it to.Baby seems to sleep better now that I've taken it OUT of the crib as well - so this didn't work for us - plus it's pretty expensive. Wanted to love it - but didn't.

Great warm natural blanket

I love this blanket. We use it for sleeping. It is good size (not too big for a standard crib), pretty warm and very light. It doesn't cling to the body when my baby turns around like other cotton blankets do, which is a huge plus since he gets frustrated if something is preventing him from moving and he moves a lot now that he is 9 months old. It's also one of the reasons why my baby stays covered all night despite constant movement. I usually use a thin cotton blanket that will wrap around his body and then Snuggle wool on top. The only drawback I would say is the strong sheep smell at the beginning. I hand washed it a couple of times and air dried it many times before the smell went away completely. I would recommend this product.

Great product

Fit in my 90 Pontiac Bonneville SE with ease. Car was not maintaining rpm's at most speeds and bouncing around at idle. Bought this Mass Airflow Sensor and car is now running like new.
