5Great Receiver
By Richard A. Brewer
I am by no means an expert on electronic audio equipment, but I wanted to replace my 5 year old Panasonic 300w THIB 5 disc DVD/CD system with separate components to get a better "bang" for my audio ear. I based my research on owner reviews and of course the capabilities of the units. I decided on the Onkyo TXSR804/B, almost went with the Onkyo TXSR674/B which would have saved me about $150.00 over the TXSR804/B unit, but I went all the way. I also purchased the Polk RM6750 5.1 Surround Speaker System - not the best I could have, but more than enough power for my 12 x 18 room size. So, now my system consists of a Sony KDS-60A2000 SXRD 60" rear projection TV, Onkyo TXSR804/B receiver, Polk 5.1 (expandable to 7.1) Speaker System, a Panasonic DVD/VHS Recorder, Onkyo DXC39 6 disc CD Changer, and my digital cable box. Here's what I think after just two days of use:Pros: - Total system looks great, more than I could have asked for. I used the auto set-up micophone that comes with the receiver to adjust the speakers, and that worked well - but I did tweak the rear surround speakers slightly to get the sound I wanted. I put in the DVD movie "The Incredibles" as a test for the sound system - blew me away! shook the walls! Scared the kids! The Polk RM6750 speakers look and sound great - I am glad I didn't spend more to get the Polk RB6880 (from Circuit City)at twice the cost! You will not be disapointed with these speakers. I went from using 5 remotes to using just one - the one that came with the receiver. I also have only one HDMI cable from the receiver to my TV. You can also transfer specific remote functions of your choosing from each component remote - you don't have to transfer "all" remote functions if you don't need all of them.Cons: TIME to set this up - It took my about a good 10 - 12 hours to get all components connected to the receiver and to set all the imputs and programs into the remote. You will need to read the instructions over & over until it finally "clicks" in your mind and things start to work the right way. So give yourself time. Call Fire Dog service if you need help getting this set up the right way. I almost did. My last "Con: is you'll have to teach the rest of your family members how to use the new remote, or you may find yourself mystified when something doesn't work the way you programed it to.Bottom line: I made the right choices for my system components. They look great together and the sound is "WOW".. I may do a little more tweaking, but overall, I am very happy with my new system. I recommend this receiver highly, without any hesitation.

5Great Mid-Priced HDMI Receiver!!
By jsam70
I shopped and researched for several months for a new HDMI receiver. I was all set to buy the TX-SR674 but I stumbled upon this model in my search. The 804 model has 10 more watts per channel than the 674, THX sound and a cleaner front via a drop down panel. Set-up was quite easy since I was using HDMI connections for the TV, DVD & Cable Box. (Don't waste your $$ on expensive HDMI cables! I had to buy a $70 cable from the big red CC box until my $6.00 HDMI cable arrived in the mail, guess what? No difference in sound!) The instruction manual is decent but does not cover every possible scenario. ie.) To get the XM Radio Info. displayed on the TV screen you have to choose choose VIDEO 2-4, then choose the TUNER (took a little trial and error). The remote is a little big, but is easy to use and does have 3 separate MACROs available to use. I was able to program all my components into this remote. The 804s on-screen display is basic white lettering on a black screen. The new Sony's have a slick on screen GUI like the PS3s but don't get sucked into this 'nice to have'. Once you get your system set up you will rarely go back to your on-screen displays. I'm running a 5.1 speaker system for now until I can afford a new 7.1 setup. However, the 5.1 sound on my old speakers sounds terrific. My speakers actually sound better than they did on my old Yamaha. XM Radio sounds great and is super easy to add on. I did not purchase the DS-A2 iPod dock because DLO is coming out with a new dock in March with on screen album art that the DS-A2 does not have. I'll let you know how this works as soon as I get it! The only feature I wish it had was a 3rd HDMI out, this would have been an even better upgrade over the 674! You can buy better HDMI receivers but you will spend well over $1000.00. Most people will be quite happy with this receiver at this price point.Sound: Excellent Style: Clean and Slick Power: More than adequate Features: A- Initial Setup: MediumMy System:Samsung LN-S4695D LCD TVSamsung HD-960 DVD (waiting for the HD-DVD/Blu Ray battle to play out and a price drop!)Sci.Atl. 5Great Value
By Robert Traub
I was replacing a 7yr old Denon unit which was rated highly in its time, and served me extremely well. However, I felt the unit was losing some power and showing its age, and I needed a second digital-capable unit for another location. I spent a great deal of time researching this buy, and it came down the Denon 2807 and the Onkyo. I opted for the Onkyo due to excellent price from Amazon, very good reviews, THX rating, and a savings of about $200 over the Denon. The shipment from Amazon was amazingly fast, appearing in just two days. Packaging of the unit by Onkyo was excellent, and installation/ integration into my setup was very straight-forward. I must say that I am accustomed to home theatre installations with lots of wires, read (and follow) instructions, and expect instructions to be confusing. In this case, the manual is very well written, in legible English, a decided plus. The Audyssey system was in no way difficult to use, and the results (speaker distances read by the system) were extremely accurate. One note here is that reviews of the Denon have stated that same Audyssey system measures sound in three separate areas, to maximize the listener's enjoyment even if they are not in the one "sweet spot." The Onkyo system measures just one location. Since I am the one sitting in the single sweet spot, I was not overly forlorn. The unit automatically detects the incoming digital sound (DTS, Dolby, etc) so I have not had then need to fiddle with them on the fly. There are a host of settings if you indeed feel the need to modify them, but any incremental gain I might attain by fine-tuning those myriad settings just doesn't seem worth the effort. Perhaps that fact is one of the reasons I opt for a single unit versus buying separate components: Yes, I might be able to tweak the sound better in the latter, but I find it far easier to pop in the disk, let the receiver do its thing, and enjoy the results I get. I was accustomed to high end sound, and the Onkyo does not disappoint. I noticed a heightened clarity in the center speaker versus my older Denon. In some of my reference DVD material, the Onkyo did not provide an appreciably "bigger" sound vs. the old Denon (the Onk is rated 10 watts more per channel), but I notice the surround speakers produce clearer sound and separation. I am as yet focusing on the front speakers to discern a difference. In the overall, it is a testament to Denon that even with a seven year difference, their technology still holds its own vs. the new Onk.After only a week of auditioning, it is hard to determine whether the Onk investment was better than if I had gone down the Denon path. After all, what will the $200 cost difference mean in a month, or a year? The only way to compare the two units is to play them side by side in your listening room. The fact is, the unit offers lots of great features at an extremely attractive price, and the build quality seems to be there. Some reviewers have noted a few drawbacks (e.g., only stereo in Zone 2), but the manual states that (and manuals are available for download from the manufacturer's website for those details). The remote is a tad big, but after a short while I am already accustomed to it.Although I might yearn for more oomph, more quality, more bells and whistles from my receiver, I wanted to stay in a certain price range. The Onk offers solid performance and versatility at an excellent price; it rates 5 stars as a great value.

I agree with other reviewers that the material quality exceeds expectations, but I was expecting the cover to look like the picture (with the oriental decorative print on top) but the cover I received was completely black. Now I realize the item description says "black" so...

5Beautiful
By D. Michael Sanford
My mom, God rest her soul, used to have a old fountain pen that was somehow lost in transition. In my enjoyment of her old letters knowing that they were all written with that old "Sheaffer" fountain pen made me want my own.Not that she was born and grew-up only a few miles from Ft. Madison, Iowa and that her grand-fathers name was "Sheffer", did she ever end up with a Sheaffer pen. But she did and it lasted for-ever. In any event, I needed my own Sheaffer pen. I have purchased several, but this one is special. The quality of the instrument is impeccable. It writes smoother than a good ball pen.It cannot make carbons. Who cares! Does anyone still use carbons? Does anyone still use a fountain pen? Heck yes. I really believe that your penmanship will improve with a fountain pen.The only caveat is: Sheaffer pens are not being made in the USA any longer. The good ones are being made in Europe, primarily Germany. Eventually the pen will be made in China. So my suggestion to you if you want a great pen is to buy one now before its too late. You'll not be sorry.

4good pen but....
By letter writer
Its a good pen, but I wished they were available with broad tip. I like the weight and it does not bleed on to my fingers. It has a great feature of having he option for cartridge or ink converter. There should be more variety available for the consumer with regards to choices of color though, and pen tips. Its a great buy, I don't regret purchasing it at all.

5PERFECT, EXCEPT FOR ONE MINOR THING
By Lee
I love this mouse. It fits my medium small hand comfortably and is great on battery life so far. It's not overly responsive and jerky like lasers seem to be. This one gives me very smooth performance. It has a "shut off" tab under the mouse belly, but if you slide the USB key into it, it also shuts it off. If you hibernate it shuts off, but immediately turns back on when your computer does. I like the rubberized finger and palm areas much better than my Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000. The only drawback is that this wireless notebook unit doesnt have thumb button and that's why I ended up buying the Microsoft 6000. I miss that particular feature. Funny think is though, I seem to use the Kensington 90% of the time anyway. The M6000 is lighter since it only uses 1 battery, but it chews through them like crazy, and my hand just doesnt feel comfortable in the curved finger slots and palm rest, the grip area seem slippery, and since it's a laser, is a little to sensative for my taste. I also like the Kensington's center scroll button musch better. It clicks with each finger movement, where the Microsoft is a smooth rolling and you tend to overshoot when you scroll. That's why I keep going back to the Kensington. You can go to Kensington's site and download their software if you want to. Otherwise, just insert the two batteries ( I like how they are hidden) plug in the USB key and off you go.I would recommend this product and purchase it again in a heartbeat.ONE FINAL NOTE.... everyone who complains about lack of distance/receptionmust be plugging the USB key into the back of their laptops. I have mine plugged into the side port and can still get reception from 10 feet away. Plugged into the back....I might get 3 feet. But who cares... how far away from the screen are you when you use your mouse? A couple inches???

5Awesome mouse!
By Shannon R. Primeaux
I purchased this mouse for my MacBook I recently bought and I couldn't be more happier with it. It's very comfortable and responsive. I just took it out the package, inserted the included batteries, plugged in the USB receiver, and was using it in seconds! I also like the feature of sliding the USB receiver onto the base of the mouse when I'm not using it since it activates a switch that turns the mouse off to preserve battery life. This also makes it very efficient for traveling since I don't have to hunt for the mouse and the USB receiver separately - they're hooked together. Very nice! Also, when I remove the USB receiver...the mouse automatically comes on & is ready for use.So, I highly recommend this peripheral if you're looking for a portable mouse for your notebook.

5Excellent DVD player for long road trips with the kids
By Melissa Mularski
We bought the Alpine PKG-RSE2 DVD player for our 1997 Chevy Astro AWD, specifically for a family road trip from Wisconsin to Florida in February 2009.Before buying the player we did a lot of research online and in stores. At one point we actually purchased a different model (not from Alpine) at a local store. I'd commented to the salesperson while we were purchasing it that I was concerned the screen was too small and the picture wasn't incredibly good (but the price was about $100 less than the Alpine). His actual response: "Well, what do you expect? It's not an Alpine." Ugh.That night, after purchasing the lesser model I kept thinking over what the salesguy said. In the morning I decided it was ridiculous to get such a low-end model just to save a relatively small amount of money. We returned the DVD player that day, and bought a new Alpine online from one of the sellers through Amazon. The seller we bought it from was selling it new for $499 (January 09). I see the price from current sellers has shot up again (June 09) but I suspect if you shop around/wait a bit you can find a similar price.INSTALLATIONThe instructions that come with the player aren't very clear which made installation fairly frustrating. My husband is extremely handy with cars and electronics, and it still took him about 6 hours to install the player, so keep that in mind if you're installing it yourself. It's likely you can find a local electronic store or car shop to install it for you if you don't want to tackle it on your own.PICTURE & SOUNDOnce my husband installed it he and I hopped in the back seats and put in a movie. The picture is excellent and the screen is huge. The sound - through the car speakers and/or through the wireless headphones is terrific. It came with one set of wireless headphones. We purchased 3 extra sets of headphones, so all 4 of our kids had a set. They range in age from 6-11, and none had problems handling the headphones, keeping them on their heads or manipulating the volume control. The only time the headphones didn't work well was when I tried one from the front seat. Apparently you need to be facing the front of the player (meaning, sitting in any of the back seats) for them to work well. I bought the 3 extra sets of headphones on another website as I couldn't find them currently for sale on Amazon. If you buy headphones make sure they work with the player. As far as I can tell, the only ones that work with the PKG-RSE2 are the headphones called Alpine SHS-N103.You can easily view the picture from the middle bucket seats and the back bench seat. We were concerned the kids wouldn't be able to see the picture from the far back because well, they're kids and kind of short, but it turned out they could view movies with no problems. We set up the DVD player so the sound comes through on FM station 88.1, and set that station as one of the defaults in the van. We've heard no static at all when using the radio as speakers for a movie. You can have sound coming through the speakers or through the headphones, or through both the speakers and headphones at the same time. You can also have the headphones on and have the radio playing other stations.SCREENA button on the player pop-unlocks the screen. Once it's unlocked you can pull it down for viewing. I'd advise anyone with this player to make sure the screen is closed before anyone in the back gets out...we've had a couple kids conk their heads on the screen when exiting the van. The screen appears to be well-made and strong, and the few head-conks it's gotten haven't affected it. (Sorry about your heads, kids!)The screen can be pulled down to about a 95- or 100-degree angle for viewing. It can't be pivoted to the left or right, but this has caused no issues. We've had no complaints of kids not being able to see the screen, even in bright sunlight.CONTROLSDVDs load in a slot that faces the back of the van. There is a fairly large On/Off button and Eject button on either side of the slot, a dome light switch, and an Open button that when pressed, unlocks the screen so you can pull it down. Once you figure out where each of these buttons is you can press them from the front with little problem, so you can handle most of the major controls without needing the kids' help. There's also a Menu/Select button underneath the DVD slot. This one works fine but you can really only use it if you're sitting in a seat facing the player. There are dome lights on either side of the player. They are fairly bright. We don't use them, however, as the van has a lot of other overhead lights. If you 'lose' some lights when installing the player the ones on the player should suit you well. The DVD player also comes with a remote which works pretty well from the front seats -- you just have to point it towards the player. We rarely use this but when we have it works fine. The awesome button is the 'Mommy Button' (I've also read this called the 'Mum Button') on the other side of the DVD player -- the side facing the front of the vehicle. The Mommy Button is a Play/Pause button there which is great when you want to stop the movie and get the kids' attention. There's also an FM button facing the front seats that allows you to toggle whether the movie sound comes through the speakers or not. If you're ever driving and FM radio stations are suddenly coming through staticky, chances are you need to press the FM button. If you're trying to hear a movie through your speakers, you're sure you have the right radio station on (and you're sure the player is hooked up correctly) chances are you need to press the FM button. When we turn off the van, whatever video is playing stops. As soon as the ignition is turned back on the movie starts up again exactly where it left off. My husband said there is way to wire the DVD player so movies can keep playing off the car battery when the car isn't on, but he didn't hook it up that way -- personally I'm glad about that because I could see us accidentally draining the battery if we were able to watch movies when the van wasn't running.OBSTRUCTION IN THE REAR VIEW MIRRORThe screen is 10.2"...amazingly big for a vehicle. Because of this we were expecting to be mostly using our side mirrors when DVDs were playing. The DVD player is mounted high, and it turned out that the driver can easily see out of the rear view mirror with little problem. There is some obstruction -- when the screen is down it blocks 1/3-1/2 of the center of the rear view mirror, but it hasn't caused any real difficulties seeing. One of the pieces of mounting hardware -- the only piece we didn't use -- would have made the DVD player sit lower. Not using this extra piece may not be optional when you install the DVD player, so more of your rear view may be blocked. If you're not already, become friends with your side mirrors.SKIPPINGThe kids watched numerous videos down and back from Florida, and have watched many since. Of all the movies, of all the literal bumps in the roads we've driven on, we've had maybe 4 or 5 times where a movie has 'skipped' for a second. I say 'skip', although the movie doesn't actually skip. What happens is the screen goes blue for a moment, then the picture and sound come back on in the same spot it left off. I don't think one 'skip' has occurred from driving conditions...I'm not sure if it's because there was a scratch on the DVD, if the player loses the signal for a second occasionally or what. Frankly, we're not worried about it. Occurrences haven't increased over time, and it probably happens once out of every 6 or so hours of viewing. It hasn't bothered the kids because they know the show will be back on in a few seconds.WORTH THE MONEY?The DVD player was an absolute godsend for our road trip, which included at least 50 hours of driving in an one-and-a-half week time frame. I don't think we heard one "Are we there yet?" during the trip. The great kid movies kept the kids in really good moods, and also helped by giving them 'breaks' from one another during the drive. Sometimes we'd tell them all to use the headphones so we could listen to the radio, and all we'd hear out of them for an hour and a half is occasional laughs during a movie. Amazing! The kids remarked at 'how fast' we got down to (and back from) Florida. If you're going to go through the expense and trouble of having a third-party DVD player installed, it seems to make sense to get one that's going to work well and make everyone happy. If it's in your budget, the Alpine PKG-RSE2 is a great player to get.*****************UPDATE AUGUST 2012Over three years have gone by since we got the Alpine. It's STILL a fantastic DVD player. Plays great, no issues with DVDs, and the 4 pairs of headphones still work fine, too. We've talked about selling our van at some point in the next year, and the first thing we both said was if we do sell it, the Alpine DVD player stays with us!

5STILL SUPERIOR!
By Edward Huk
Bigger screen with better resolution at half the price of the dealer installed unit. Nuff said.Update: The unit failed almost exactly one year from my purchase. After examining it, I found that it didn't work when mounted, but did work when I had it down and in my hands. Pretty good indication of a broken solder joint. I contacted Alpine and they confirmed that was somewhat common on a batch of these units. They repaired it under warantee. Even if your unit is out of warantee, this is a super easy fix for someone who is electronically inclined, or a cheap fix for you to pay for at an electronics store. Anyway, I STILL give the unit 5-stars... I just wanted to put this out there in case anyone else had a similar problem.

5Alpine flip down DVD player for automobile
By Mario R. Herrera
The Alpine PKG flip down DVD player is the best investment I have ever made. Not to mention that it was the cheapest on Amazon.com. The product has worked very well in my 2009 Chevy Tahoe. The 10 inch monitor does not obscure the rear view window as much as I thought it would. The included wireless headphones are a great addition. You can listen to your own cd's or radio up front. The unit comes with an FM modulator for this reason. You can also purchase extra sets of headphones for very reasonable prices. The LCD screen offers a very clear and sharp image. Almost blu-ray quality. My 6 y.o. son is able to quietly watch his favorite DVD's.I would not recommend self installation unless you are very good at this type of installation. It requires drilling holes into the headliner. I took it to MobileOne Audio in Houston and had it professianlly installed for $150. I would highly recommend this name brand product. Alpine is a leader in car audio.

Grossan Hydro Pulse Nasal and Sinus Irrigation System with the Original Grossan Sinus Tip Product Description:

  • Gentle, pleasant, and effective relief - machine does the work
  • Takes only 3 minutes to use and you feel great right away
  • The only system purpose-built for pulsatile sinus irrigation
  • Proven to make your sinus cilia work better - without drugs
  • Three-way breath control with throat and tongue cleanser (included)

Product Description

Get serious with your sinuses. The Grossan Hydro Pulse Sinus System is the first pulsating system specifically for nasal and sinus irrigation. Not just a cleanse or rinse, the pulsating action is clinically proven to make your sinus cilia - the body's first line of defense against contagions, pollen, and foreign matter - work better. Invented by MD specialist Murray Grossan, this is the serious but pleasant way to good sinus health in a medically recognized (covered in dozens of medical journal articles) but drug-free way. Featured in Time Magazine's Best Inventions Report. Elevated pollen got you down? The Hydro Pulse restores sinus cilia to good health so they can rapidly eliminate pollen from the body - without expensive drugs and their side effects. This is a pleasant treatment done at home, designed to be super-gentle, especially when used with our Breathe-ease solution. Over a quarter of a million users, as young as six years old. Pots, bulbs, other methods might "clean" your nose, sort of - but they're messy, difficult to use, and do not pulsate. Pulsatile irrigation is different; it actually restores your own body's health maintenance system, the sinus cilia. The Hydro Pulse is also convenient - never messy - always gentle and pleasant. The unit does all the work for you, our convenient thumb switch makes it easy. Bonus: Fresher Breath. The Hydro Pulse System includes a three-way advanced breath freshening system. Research shows that breath problems come from the nose and throat (not the stomach as is commonly thought.) Our system inlcudes a special tip for complete breath control. System includes: Base unit, 2 Sinus tips, 2 Throat tips/integral tongue cleaners (for breath control), Breathe-ease irrigation solution samples, and complete instructions.

3Lacks Longevity
By College Counselor
I am a convert to the idea of nasal irrigation, having previously used a waterpik with a nasal adapter for several years. There is no question that nasal irrigation can alleviate sinus problems. I decided to try the Grossan Nasal Irrigation System and found the pulsation an improvement over the waterpik. The Grossan provides more control over the strength of the stream of water. HOWEVER, my Grossan began to link around the 8th month of use and completely failed 29 days after the one year warranty. Considering that the Grossan is close to $100, I can't recommend it. It is too expensive when it fails in so short a time. Another reviewer mentioned that he had gone through two Grossans in a relatively short period of time. I took the Grossan apart after it failed to see if there was any way I could fix it. The motor is not well protected from any water seepage which suggests to me that once it begins to leak through the bottom, its days are limited.

44 stars for the concept and results, less for this product
By B. Edwards
I wavered whether to give 2 stars or 5. I decided on four to encourage ANYone to use sinus irrigation using this method vs anything else out there I know about (and I have used them, all, neti pot, sinus surgeries, squeeze bottles, etc)I would give THIS product 2 stars because there is some serious price gouging going on here. Save yourself about $65 and get a water pik, which is what this thing is. Seriously. Nothing more, and in fact I noticed that the water pik company has started adding sinus adaptors with some of their kits.BUT, considering what this unit has saved me from, I am compelled to give a high score here.I know for a fact that using this thing multiple times a day EVEN IN THE START/MIDDLE of a sinus infection, can get rid of it. You have to be dilligent though and do it EVERY day, several times a day (at least twice probably), for several days though. And that is a pain, but it's either that or the inevitable antibiotics which I try to avoid. And with this bad boy, I can avoid that more than half the time I feel an infection coming on.Also, here's a tip to save further money. Don't pay for the little pre mixed packets...mix your own and save a lot of money. The ingredients are literally salt and baking soda. The "higher end" packets come with Xylitol (which I swear by for sinuses, and highly recommend you use it when you rinse), which is so easy to just buy these days. You can buy a big packet of Xlitol sweetener for about $6 I think and add it to your rinse.Anyway, back to topic:Beyond 5 stars for this type of sinus irrigation (there really is NOTHING else that compares), but no need to pay the premium for this unit when a regular water pic does the same thing (with the proper tip on it)Notes:1. This thing is loud, messy and pretty cheaply made.2. The water container leaks when you shake/swirl it (recommended to mix the solution with the warm water)3. The tongue "tool" is a gimmick imo.4. The switch on the unit's wand is very uncomfortable to use, and when it's wet, I find it's hard to turn on and off.My unit is still running after...1.5 years of pretty heavy use and I have yet to do the vinegar cleaning they recommend you do every once in a while.BUT I faithfully rinse the thing well after every use, so there is no salt residue in the system when I'm done. I think the people complaining about these not lasting might not be doing the proper cleanup after using.Having said all that I HIGHLY recommend this or any similar unit for anyone with sinus trouble OR anyone that appreciates the feeling of a clean sinus. It really feels great to me for several hours after I do this.Hope that helps some people.EDIT: As of 11/30/11 still going strong! I have yet to clean it per the instructions, (not the tip, the whole vinegar thing), but after every time I use it I fill the tank with about a cup of water and run it through with the machine running. Seems to clear out the salt solution fine. Not at all saying you shouldn't clean the thing, just that I am very slack, yet the unit continues to operate normally even if it's not cleaned with something other than water. Also, some additional tips I have learned over the years...if you are reading this review, you will likely find the following "special" ingredients helpful. In addition to one pre-mixed saline packet (I buy the local pharmacy brand of 100 for convenience), I put the following in my rinse:A little bit of Alkalol (look it up here on Amazon)A liquid budesonide postule (need a Rx for it, but it's dirt cheap and generic, and is much more effective than using nasal steroid sprays as this gets IN your sinuses) or 2 if I am really congestedIf I think I am getting or have a sinus infection, I will also add:2-3 drops at MOST of GSE (Grapefruit seed extract, also see here on Amazon) POTENT stuff...be careful here...no more than a few of drops!1/4 of a packet of XylitolThese things combined together provide a POWERFUL anti-inlflammation/anti sinus infection solution that is safe to use even on a regular basis (not sure I would use the GSE more than once a day though). Hope that helps someone...it's taken me years of reading and experimentation to find something that is up to battling my constant sinus issues.

1Works, but is the cheapest, worst made piece of junk I have ever owned.
By James A. Hall
This thing works great. It clears out the stuff in your sinuses and has been the only thing that brings me relief from sinus congestion. That being said, it is, without a doubt, the cheapest piece of junk I have ever owned. And I've owned FOUR of these puppies. I've never had one last more than a year, and yes I follow all the instructions, using distilled water and flushing the system out after use. At $100 a pop, that gets expensive. They inevitably start leaking all over the place, and once that happens, the motor burn-out will occur shortly after. I never would have bought more than 2 if I wasn't so desparate for it.There appear to be other nasal irrigators on the market now. I have not tried them, but after throwing $400 at the Grossan over the last 4 years, I am going to try something different. So to sum it, it works well, but is almost guaranteed to fail on you with any kind of regular use. Be prepared.

5Sturdy stands
By Nobody from nowhere
The stands are really nice and well designed. I have speakers on them that weigh about 40 pounds each and they do not move at all. There are carpet studs provided if you choose to attach to the base of the stands to keep them from moving on the rug, however some people have hardwood floors and they should supply in the kit some rubber grips to use on hard flooring. In addition, there is a speaker wire channel in the rear of the stand. Its a very nice feature, however I cannot use it since my speaker cables are heavy gauge and I use terminal connectors that get in the way for a clean look.Overall the quality is very good and looks to be solid oak. No fiber board at all...

5Exactly as I wanted!
By Frances Palmer-hill
My lamps arrived in a very timely fashion and in perfect condition. They are exactly as described and are just what I wanted. Craftmanship is very high quality. A very substantial lamp with elegant lines as described. I ordered two lamps for the family room and the whole family is very pleased with the look.

3Flaking finish
By Brenda Haskell
When I received the lamp I absolutely loved it. The style and color was perfect. Unfortunately, about two weeks later the finish on the branches up near the top, under the lamp shade, began to bubble and flake off. I only use a 40 watt bulb and the lamp is only on for a couple of hours in the evening. This was an expensive purchase and I am very disappointed.

5Coolest lamp ever!
By Person that hates going to the dentist
Only thing missing from it is a green lamp shade to make it look more like a legitimate tree. Other than that, for the price, you might think it's high, but it IS made out of brass. If you can afford it, and like trees, this one's for you!
