5Buy these now
By Steven Lee
I didn't even know IR made sockets, but I got these for a particular transmission job that needed swiveled sockets. I've already put these to good use busting all the nuts off the transmission with ease. I've used them further on other cars. I use this strictly for automotive use and they have held up well.Nice case, well forged construction. They are holding up well, will see after 6 months of heavy use how the fare, but for the price they are so worth it.

5Up and coming name to trust
By PK
I found these Ingersol-Rand brand swivel sockets on Amazon and I couldn't resist trying them out. So far, I'm not disappointed. I had to use them in a tight spot and though I was a little surprised by the "spring feeling" to them when they swivel, they seem to be constructed well. The bottom line is that I've got them in case I need them again. Thanks for the good deal Amazon (and partners)!

4great starter set
By James J. Drinane
These are great. The only thing I dislike about them is that they do not have the sizes of the socket engraved into the metal. After a couple of uses the labeling on a couple sockets has started to come off.

514 PC deep metric impact socket set
By TheRealPeterman
I have used IR for impact guns and ratchets, and its great stuff. this socket set is no exception, I had ordered a standard-depth metric impact set from amazon in the past and it was top notch, and the fit and finish is beautiful on this as well. the blow molded case is beautiful, albeit rather large and consumes a lot of toolbox room. considering getting a 1/2" drive socket organizer.for the DIY'er, these are a must have.Note: the laser etching is nice, but engraving would be best. consistent use will make the etcching go away fast, as in my other set. but you could always hand-engrave the numbers on the socket somewhere.

5I-R SK4M14L Impact Socket Set
By Me
Excellent impact socket set. Steps up through the smaller sizes in 1mm increments, and contains the 18mm socket that is typically missing in other manufacturer's sets in this price range. I miss the smaller, red metal storage box I-R used to provide, but other than that, this is a great set.

5So far so good...
By Juan Schultze-kraft
I just starting to use it... just 12 hours of use in econo-mode (about 24 real hours). It is just what I was looking for to have at home, very good imgage, even if there is some aditional light in the room, and the connection ports are great, it has all and some double!!!I use it for movies and gaming (mainly).User friendly, you can start using it very fast and its menu enables a very friendly configuration experience... you just need to plug anything to it and it will find connection auto. And also for a very good price!!!It will be interesting to realize if the lamp works for the expected life-period...

5One year and a half and now with Blu-ray ...
By Gilberto Dotti Cesa
I have this projector since the beggining of 2008 and it is excellent, now with blu-ray I am getting a fantastic image !!! and it's is only 420p!!! I can't imagine how the video will be with a 720p or a 1080p! I project in 130" on a wall covered with a MDF white/grey. The room must be more or less dark, more dark it's better. People must pay attention to the levels of brightness, contrast and color. I configure it putting the brightness and contrasr at 50 (the range is 0 to 100) an the color at T1. I was looking at Santana Mountreux blu-ray and it was really great! Why do you want a TV ??? This is far better!!!

4As good as you pay for
By Almir L. N. Junior
I have one of these for 2 years by now, and it is my main support when playing with multiple bands. I have 3 basses, 4, 5 and 6 strings, each one for a differente kind of sound, heavy metal, progressive rock, world music, and all of them are well served by the effects presented here. In fact one cannot program the different effects without the manual, not all the names are direct, but, hey, its not a software tool, earn your time reading the manual. The compressor is not so good as it could be, and there are minor complaints about the usefullness of the expression pedal (it's not completely programmable as I would like to), but in general it work very well. It has multiple possibilities, tons of reverbers, amp simulations and effects, I can control the way I sound with a very good precision, emulate many different famous players, and change one way to another almost without noise.I love the zoom B2.1u that I've just bought its bigger brother, the Zoom B9.1ut.

5Bass FX
By Ron F. Louis
Surprised at how easy it is to use, notwithstanding that I read the manual before I recieved it. Absolutely love the drum machine, and the mix feature to control it's level. I think the presets will do for now since I had to use this unit immediately. Will do some tweaking later....The reviews I read about this unit did justice for sure.

4Good Product
By Milkman
Great Pedal overall. Has played plenty of gigs with not so much as even a slight problem. Sturdy as hell, great effects, mods etc. Very easily connects to your pc for recording or for practicing with songs. It does take the manual to make out all the abbreviations for the many settings(which it has a lot of). Minor flaw but who monkeys with that stuff at a gig? I usually play with it ahead of time for my overall sound and tweak it at the gig based on the acoustics of the place we are playing at. I would recommend this pedal to anyone wanting a sleek, small (some pedal efx units are huge, this one easily travels or packs up), durable, do it all pedal. Is it perfect - no but the plus's way out number the negatives

3Drum works fine...toner cartridge empty
By K.L. Brady "Karla"
So, this comes with a drum and toner cartridge. I replaced the drum which works fine, but when I put in the toner cartridge the "toner low" light never turned off. I was able to print a few sheets before it stopped printing altogether. I ended up having to order another toner cartridge from a different vendor and when I installed it, the light went off. So the toner cartridge that came with the drum must've been empty. So, if you order a drum, I suggest you order a separate toner cartridge just in case.

5Terrific set
By Jason Shumate
This is really an excellent set. I have waited a long time to buy my first HDTV and I finally bought this because it had a price I liked and the right features. I haven't yet been able to test it on a high def picture (that will happen tomorrow), but it's terrific for standard definition. I have tried it on VCD, Divx, DVD and regular cable and it looks great on all of them. I do have a few suggestions on how to get the best picture from this set.1) Some will disagree, but if your source is not 16x9 (either anamorphic DVD or widescreen HD broadcasts), you really should watch it in 4:3 mode and not have it needlessly stretch the video to 16:9 mode. You can change the viewing mode with the remote control. If you don't like black sidebars on 4:3 viewing and only want to see full screen for everything, don't complain if the stretching makes the imperfections in the original source more apparent.2) Use a component (NOT composite!) output or HDMI output from your DVD player to the TV and set the output on the DVD player to progressive (if it supports it). My DVD player is a cheap Philips DVP-642 and the output of everything I have tried looks great. Even low resolution VCD looks really good on this TV. My DVD player is too old and cheap to support HDMI output, but component output looks great. I compared S-Video output with component output and component is the way to go.3) Don't sit too close. My viewing distance is 9 feet and the TV looks great at this distance. If you sit only 2-3 feet away, imperfections are somewhat more noticeable. If you are going to sit very close to your TV, you need a smaller screen unless you can live with being able to see every minute imperfection in everything you watch.

4Can't wait for Wimbledon in HD
By D. Hicks
I've had the Samsung LNS4096D for about a month. Lacking previous knowledge or experience with HDTV I researched the subject extensively on the web and in several stores, comparing this model to Sony XBR and others. The Samsung has met or exceeded my expectations in almost every area. If I were to make my buying decision today I would again select this model.Pros: excellent picture quality, connectivity options, swivel is handy. I was surprised by how good my old $75 DVD player displays, guess it's because it has progressive scan. Also, concerns about pixel blur with subjects in motion were unfounded.Cons: sound is somewhat tinny, not same quality as picture - but hooking up an old pair of powered speakers solves the issue for me.There's still a lot I don't know about "Definition." Some non-HD broadcasts look as good as they do on my older Sony Wega SDTV while others are poor. And one week an NFL game on an HD channel is crystal clear but the next week it looks like SD. I switched to Verizon FIOS thinking that an all-digital transmission would make everything look at least as good as the digital content on Comcast's Digital package. But that has not been the case. I guess it has to do with the entire video chain, from capture to transmission to display. And that LCD still has trouble matching SDTV on a CRT set. Hopefully the dissappointing channels/shows will only get better as broadcasters upgrade their technology.

1Good TV Terrible Service
By Richard Van Horn
I have two words of horror for you, Electronics Expo. I purchased this set through Amazon, who then relied on Electronics Expo to send the TV. First off, they sent it via UPS rather than a qualified TV delivery service like Amazon uses. When I hooked up the TV, the picture worked for 30 seconds then went to a green screen and blinked once in a while. I called Samsung and they said that they would send someone out in about a week, but if the problem occurred during shipping, the waranty wouldn't cover the repair. I decided to email Electronics Expo to request a new set and ask for a shipping label. They emailed me and told me that they wouldn't accept a return of a TV over 20 inches! I read the return policy and noticed that it only applied to returned items for unwanted items, not defective items. Electronics Expo then ceased to return my emails. I called and spoke to a manager who tried telling me that if the item was damaged while shipping, I would have to wait for them to be reimbursed by UPS before my new TV was shipped! The TV looked great for the 30 seconds that I actually saw a signal, but if this is being shipped by Electronics Expo, play it safe and spend the extra money to buy it elsewhere.

4Easy and Pretty Good Looking Joints. You can't beat it for the money
By Barry L. Anderson
I have a Jointech cabinet makers system to do dovetails, box joints, etc. etc. Learning to use that system was a real headache. It does a fine job and the joints look great, but because of the difficult process of making a through dovetail I thought I would get a jig to help me out. I would use the jig for the through dovetails and the Jointech for everything else.My first attempt with the 4216 met with great results. A few minor adjustments and it was turning out joints which looked nearly as good and were just as tight as a system I had spent well over a thousand dollars on.What is the trade off? Well, the 4216 is limited on the types of joints and sizes you can make. You can do 1/2 and 1/4 inch box and dovetails, both through and blind types. You can also do rabbeted blind joints. With a little imagination you can do variably spaced dovetails ... and they look pretty good. Last but not least, you can make sliding dovetail joints. The joints ARE fairly basic ... they don't have the "handcrafted" look of the expensive system. You can see the rounded sockets on the inside of the blind dovetails. The sizes of the joints are pretty limited ... only 1/2 and 1/4 inch. But if you want a quick dovetail/box joint with a less expensive piece you are buiding with almost zero hassles, this is the jig to get.For less than $200 you can begin to make these joints. The setup is easy. There are even depth guages on the jig to help you set the depth of your router bit. Instruction are clear and detailed. The jig is very well built and will last a lifetime. I find myself using it more and more ... even for the blind joints. I've developed a few tricks to improve the looks of the joints ... by rabbeting the inside of the side piece a tiny bit to hide the round end of the socket. Really, for the price you cannot get a better made, better working or easier to use system.

5Way Better Than I Expected
By AgedWireHead
Porter Cable makes quite a few dovetail jigs; enough that the choices are quite confusing, especially if you find some of the discontinued models somewhere. Currently they make two lines of jigs, the 4200 series that I am reviewing here, and the new Omnijig Joining System. The differences boil down to this:1. The Omnijig costs about twice or more than the 4200 series.2. The Omnijig will machine wider boards.3. The Omnijig has some really slick convenience features. But this does not mean that the 4200 series is inadequate for most woodworkers. It is easy to use, sets up and adjusts easily, and in the 4216 model will do a lot of different joints. These include 1/4 and 1/2 inch dovetails, half blind and full, box joints, and a sliding dovetail joint. The 4216 is wide enough to joint the sides of almost any drawer. It won't do the sides of a deep chest. Here is my take on this: If you have plenty of room and a lot of money and intend to make a lot of chests, by all means buy the Omnijig. You won't be sorry. However, if you primarily want to make standard size drawers and will only make a few chests with dovetail corners, purchase the 4200 series. I would prefer to hand-cut the dovetails on chests anyway, as the handwork makes the chest look better to my eye.Prepare to cut at least one test joint when you first get this unit--and for each of the different joints your model will make. The 4216 makes all of them, but even if you buy the simplest unit, you can add the templates for the remaining joints. It isn't tricky to adjust things, and they give clear indications of the direction to adjust to fix problems (loose or tight joints) in the instructions. One thing I particularly appreciate is that this jig will put dovetails on plywood that is thinner than 1/2 inch. On a previous jig I owned, this required all sorts of efforts, a huge amount of thought, and very tricky sequencing. The instructions are clear, and the results worked first time and just as easily as full thickness. Some other items you might want to know:1) considerable "blow-out" can occur when routing these joints. Make certain that all cuts are adequately backed up with scrap. The instructions tell you this, very clearly, so take our word for this and do it.2) This unit will cut very nice box joints. I don't like to cut box joints with a router, I prefer the table saw, but I could see benefits for using this method on longer boards.3) This unit will cut a sliding dovetail joint. It is a pretty neat joint, and far easier to cut than the hand-made jig I used before.4) The instructions provide an interesting method to cut skip-tooth joints that look a little more like a hand cut joint, but this unit does not have adjustable fingers. Buy the Omnijig if you want to do a lot of that and don't want to hand cut the joints. I prefer to cut the beautiful joints by hand.5) There are a lot of parts to the 4216. You will be surprised when you unpack them just how many. After assembly, you cannot repack the pieces in the box using the styrofoam without disassembly. However, after discarding the packing materials and adding a plastic bag or two, all of the pieces will fit into the shipping box. I recommend building a small box to keep everything in, just about the same size as the shipping box. It is a great project to practice using the jig. I made mine from scrap and it is very convenient.6) Make certain that the plywood you use for drawer sides, etc. is void free. That is, you don't want to run into "air" in the middle of a dovetail joint. You can fix the problem by inserting a "dutchman" but it isn't worth it. Pay for the better material.I love this tool. It isn't as great as the Omnijig, I admit, but it is a lot smaller and easier to store. Unlike every other jig (except the Omnijig) it is realy easy to use and the instructions are clear. You can get going in minutes. One warning: if you have a Bosch router, as I do, and want to use it with this tool, purchase the BOSCH Templet Guide Adapter, RA1100 (2 610 995 080) which permits installing the PC-style template guides in the Bocsh "twist-click" base. The 4200 series templates come with PC-style template guides. The provided bits are 1/2 inch diameter shafts except for the 1/4 inch template, which has 1/4 inch diameter shafts bits. Use the provided template guides with the "Templet Guide Adapter" and not the Bosch equivalents. And as a parting comment, this is a great excuse to purchase a second router. Having two routers set up makes cutting a lot of joints a whole lot easier and with greater precision and repeatability. You do not need a plunge router for this tool.Bosch RA1100 Threaded Router Template Guide AdapterUPDATE: As a comment indicated, a couple of typos in the "One warning" paragraph made that paragraph confusing. Hope it is more clearly stated now.

5This machine is fun
By Sawdust Charley
I loved woodworking in High School & after 35 years decided to have my own shop & get back into woodworking ( one of those mid-life things).I bought this & a Porter 890 router. Both awesome tools. The instructions are easy to use. Most everything you need to know is on the machine. My first open dovetail joint actually fit very well. The mini dovetail template is a gotta have ,so go ahead & spend a little extra to get this & not the 4212 jig. Small jewelry boxes with open dovetail joints are very classy. With is set up you can turn out great joints in no time!
