This DVD cabinet looks good in my TV room. I don't know how much is real wood, but it feels and looks like nice, durable wood furniture. The walnut color is a dark brown. Although it's fairly heavy, and the assembly instructions are weak (one page sheet of diagrams), I had no problems putting it together it by myself in about six hours (I was intentionally patient). The unassembled parts had a few flaws on the corners of the top and bottom, but 99% of it was perfectly smooth and in good shape.Adjustable shelves can be arranged for either CD or DVD cases. I use for DVD and VHS tapes storage and they fit in mostly well. Some DVD cardboard storage boxes are a little bigger than the depth of the shelves so the door doesn't close completely, missing by < 1/4 inch. One of the storage spaces is not tall enough for typical purchased DVD jewel cases, but many of my DVD's are ones I recorded and are stored in CD size paper sleeves, so that's not wasted space for me.Bottom line, the assembled product matches the description on Amazon web site, so I got exactly what I ordered and I'm happy with it.
