Paulownia Body Paulownia is an increasingly popular substitute for mahogany in more affordable guitar models. It's a fast-growing, hearty tree native to Japan and Southeast Asia, and has traditionally been used for Asian string instruments.
As a lightweight, porous body wood, Paulownia is somewhat similar to swamp ash in its sonic signature: very resonant, with plenty of chime and a nice, tight low-end.
Bolt-On Construction Bolt-on neck construction provides an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.
The ML Knight features a maple neck and an ultra-playable 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, with classic dot inlays.
Dean Humbucker Pickups To capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes two of its standard humbuckers. These pickups provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination. Each pickup gets a volume pot, and they share the tone control.
Grover Tuners If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These guitar machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.
Tune-o-Matic Bridge The Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-thru body design provides serious sustain, along with precise intonation for your tuning preference. The classic v-shaped plate mirrors the headstock wings for some nice vintage Dean style.

THAT didn't suck!
By Matias
I can't believe the price on this thing. This was an impulse buy I don't regret. I've been playing for roughly 18 years, and this is what I have to say.The Pros:The factory setup doesn't suck like most cheap guitars.High quality sealed tuners (grovers?)Pickups that don't suck. They're middle of the road, a bit bright, but sound great. The Cons:My particular guitar's tone and volume pots were not tightened all the way. This may not be a problem with most units, but if I was a beginner, I would have thought nothing of it, and eventually trashed the wiring inside.Microphonic feedback: It's not a major issue, but if you like gain, be careful with this dude. I've only spent about an hour with this guitar, but it seems the wiring or the pickups may be microphonic. It could be the light wood of the body, though. You can get PLENTY of gain before this becomes a practical problem. The body is way lighter than the neck. Not horribly like my old Ibanez Artist that wants to nose-dive every time I let go of the neck, but it's noticeable. Again, the wood the body is made of is VERY light.Verdict:This is an incredible guitar for the price. Cheap guitars in this price range are typically made of plywood, have poor quality pickups, and have serious setup issues (truss rod, intonation, action, so-on). On all counts, this is a quality instrument, perfect for a beginner, and a great starting point for an experienced or pro guitarrist looking for his next back-up ax. I'm not too proud to rock this thing on stage.
