I purchased this netting for a second story deck. The installation was a breeze with the included zip ties. I rated this product a 4 instead of 5 mostly because of the aesthetics. It isn't a fashion statement and does take away from the look of the deck. But I'm confident that it would slow my toddler down if she should get the sliding glass door open. I researched a lot and this is the best value on a temporary safety solution for a deck with wider banister spacings. I live in the Nevada Mountains and the wind blows here constantly. (25 to 50 MPH regularly Gusts up to 80 MPH during storms) This netting has held steadfast on our deck for the past three months though 5 or 6 very bad wind storms.

We have two Yorkies and we wanted them on the deck, but they're so small, we didn't want them falling through the railings. This netting has worked well and the black is difficult to see, so it doesn't ruin the deck's look. It was time consuming because the deck was big, but easy to install.

I looked for many different solutions to child-proof and pet-proof my very large deck with open railings and this product was fefinitely the most affordable. It was easy to cut and size for the twists and turns of my wrap-around deck. It comes with black cable ties that are long enough for easy placement. This was the most affordable solution for me and I now have a toddler secure deck!
