This is the first Juniper router I have used. I have used primarily Sonicwall for the last 7-8 years. The Sonicwall didn't support BGP routing and I needed a low cost solution to use Amazon's VPC. This router is supported by Amazon and the installation and configuration was a breeze. A basic understanding of routing may be needed to trouble-shoot and get traffic flowing in and out of VPC, but that is more Amazon than the router.I was also having trouble with VOIP on the Sonicwall. We moved to a SIP server that was on the WAN and had major problems with calls being dropped and media channels not opening correctly. I moved all of the VOIP traffic to the Juniper, setup the SIP ALG, and a couple policies. I haven't had one issue with the Juniper dropping traffic.In conclusion, if you are looking for an edge router that works with Amazon's VPC and/or SIP, this router does it well. Coming from the Sonicwall, I am spoiled on the GUI. The Juniper is definitely lacking in the GUI comparison, but it is functional and there seems to be good community resources.
