This is my first Amazon review so here you go. I purchased this gun vault in May of 2008. When it arrived the safe door would not stay shut. I contacted Gun vault before just sending the thing back. They talked me through a quick fix. It worked a few more times and then refused to stay shut again.I called Gun Vault back and they sent me a replacement with no questions asked. They included postage paid return for other safe. I just figured good customer service deserves a good review. The new safe works great.

This product worked well for 14 months--it was covered by a 12 month warranty. At that time the lock release for the keypad quit working. The company offered to replace the unit for $80. For the price of this unit I expected it to last much longer. The original batteries have lasted longer than the safe.

Works well, opening is easy with combination or key and door pops open crisply each time. Seems well constructed. Will be perfect for my 2 handguns and extra clips but not for storing large amounts of ammunition. Good features including inner light which comes on for short period of time with opening.
