Little Colorado is a Green Company All finishes are water-based, low-VOC made by Sherwin Williams and other American manufacturers. Wood raw materials come from environmentally responsible suppliers. Unfinished, Natural, Honey Oak and Espresso finishes are all constructed of Pine. All other finishes use MDF that is manufactured in the USA by Plum Creek, and is certified green, CARB-compliant, and low-formaldehyde. All packing insulation is 100% post-consumer recycled. We bought this bed for our grandson. He loved his crib, but has a babysister on the way and his mom and dad decided it was time for a big boy bed. He has not fallen out of it, he's gotten out a few times but he has gotten use to it now and doesn't even do that. They think this bed is great, and so does he.
