When I ordered this I was worried about the shipping of something this large, and what is was made of, what happens if it breaks? When it arrived it was double boxed and the crock itself was well protected.My first batch of sauerkraut turned out wonderful, the best I have ever made! The way the crock seals it and releases the gas is amazing. I didnt have any scum to remove, once I sealed it I forgot about it for 2 weeks. It had great color and flavour. Everyone wanted more. I cant wait to make the next batch!I am planning to buy a smaller one for pickles.

The crock arrived in very reasonable time and in excellent condition. Our first batch is in and working. we should have our first batch in time for my birthday.So far I would easily recommend this crock. Keep in mind this size (15 ltr) takes about 24 lbs of cabbage to bring it to full level.
