I recently decided to only buy quality components as i put my gear through hell. This UPS has provien itself as i plugged in a heatgun and although it tripped; not only did the device come back up on reboot, but it immediately passed POST and continued working like a champ. further the unit is sturdy and fits very well underneath my cisco routers on the bookshelf. the only con i can think of is that it doesn't have a "true" sine-wave, but i can only blame myself as it was clearly listed on their website. further, i was happily surprised when the unit worked with both my older ocz powerstream 600w and newer ocz modstream PSU's. no buyer's remorse at all, and in fact quite the opposite given that i would've spent much, much more for a true sine-wave eaton or a cheaper device from another manufacturer. ESXi support isn't the greatest (options are either vMA or scripts) but i don't believe that's eaton's fault and in fact they do a great job of documenting and providing options.overall 110% satisfied. plenty of VA/W to grow and combined with a PDU or two i will never buy another surge protector/power strip again!

This does exactly what it is supposed to do and takes up very little space doing it. It is quiet and easy to install. Looking forward to a long useful service life!

Apparently Windows Vista and 7 do some polling on the USB bus during boot up that randomly causes this UPS to completely shutdown. You have to physically switch the power on and off at the UPS. The only workaround is to unplug the USB cable form the UPS during reboots. Aside from this the UPS seems pretty good, it's protected my PC through a couple short outages so far. NOT RECOMMENDED Windows 7 or Vista users.
