It's a broom. It's made in the US. The handle's plenty long. The extra hardware bracket you see makes it so the handle and head won't get unscrewed from each other -- a common problem with push brooms. Works great.

Great Broom. Ran it over in the garage before my wife even took it out of the box. Bent the handle near the base. She broke it off and put it back together again. Handle is shorter, but she loves it. She had been looking for a good push broom for outside and this is her favorite.

Very well made. Works great on uneven pavement. It does require a bit of effort to push (that may be because I'm 5' 95 pounds so I'm not powerful), but it is very effective.
