This is a great styling tool. Heats almost instantly and maintains heat well. Definitely worth the extra money. I tried the Hot Tools version first, because I like their Marcel irons, but it was not up to par. I've been a hairstylist for almost ten years, so I can say from experience that this iron exceeds the performance of a lot of professional grade tools. The heat proof cover is great too. My only wish is that the heat glove was included.

I had my hair styled at a salon before a night at the ballet. My hair is very strait & never holds a curl, but the stylist used this and it worked magic! It even had curls the next morning! So i splurged & spent $120 on this iron and i am so dissapointed. It dosnt have a clamp to hold hair in place while curling, so you have to find a way to hold it yourself. Even with the heat glove i purchased with it, i have managed to burn my arm everytime i pick it up. And its very hard to use. I am now looking for another curling iron :-(
