...But you may feel slapped around. At least that's how I feel when I listen to Caroline Myss. Her information is solid but I feel abused by her style.Her language seems to assume or convey that the listener is a naive little prig who knows nothing of intuition or the necessity to plumb one's inner depths.I'm still listening to this set, which I wanted for a long time and finally received for Christmas. I especially like listening to Norm Shealy, whose manner is softer and more gentle.I was concerned that this would be too rudimentary for my interests and some of it is but it's still valuable to go over the chakras and what they're about. If you know nothing of Jung, archetypes, the shadow, etc, that section will be important to listen to.If I understand correctly, Myss seems to indicate that her way of perceiving is the way to perceive, and I don't agree with that. It certainly doesn't hurt to hear, or wouldn't if she spoke respectfully to the listener and didn't use phrases like, "Now I'm going to turn your around...or upside down," or whatever she says to indicate that we need her to take control, as if we were deaf and blind people being led through a cave.I like Norm's meditations on the Ring of Fire, Crystal, Earth and Air. I've just begun listening to that and it offers a body approach that I can add to my work.Should you spend the money? Parts of this are really worth it. I'm glad I have it.
