This is a sturdy mic stand, very heavy and seemingly well-made. My only beef is that I called Atlas to find out where it was made before buying it - and they said it was made in the USA. It isn't.

I never met a mic stand I liked! I know you have the same problem. No? Then your not a working musician... Atlas stands are really the only stands that don't break. I kid you not! the only problem is they're super heavy so they're only practical in the studio. oh well...
