Designed for 2" Class III and IV hitch receivers, this fully lockable swing down bicycle carrier can haul up to 3 bicycles and swing down, maintaining access to a vehicle trunk or hatch. Includes a hitch pin, rubber stopper pad to prevent frame scratches, rubber coated frame clamps, and a key lockable mechanism to deter theft. I bought this item two years ago and forgot to write a review. I have been using this rack a lot this past riding season and I am very pleased. It seems to be well constructed, I only used the swing down feature once but it works as advertised. The rubber bump stop is a nice touch as are the rubber cradles where the bikes rest. The top bracket that secures the bikes to the rack also has rubber to prevent the bikes from getting scratched. Even though this has three mounts it take a little work to get three bikes on the rack. If I had one complaint it is that there could be a little more space between each mounting area . When I load three bikes it takes at least ten minutes to get each bike mounted so that they fit. Even then the bikes touch which I solve by wrapping some rags or old socks around the bikes to prevent scratches. Two or one bike = no problems. Another nice touch is that one of the screw knobs on the top has a locking feature. For the price I can not imagine a better rack, I would not hesitate recommending this item as I would buy another if needed.
