Product Description

The NAD PP-2 is a great product; for years it has ruled the roost among MM/MC preamps. But our TC-760LC aims to change that. Additional features like an output level control, ability to connect MM and MC turntables simultaneously (selecting between them at the push of a switch), and selectable hi/lo MC input inpedance make the TC-760LC the better value; superior specs make it the better choice as well. A price way below the NAD provides the frosting on this particular cake! Again, you are purchasing the BLACK VERSION. To find the silver version, enter B004RYYC4U in the Amazon search bar. Now includes our improved REGULATED AC power supply usable worldwide!

5This device is awesome!
By John B. Kitterman
I was doing a little research on getting better sounds from a vinyl record and stumbled on this Preamp. The reviews were positive so I purchased it ... even though I was skeptical. Once I plugged it in and heard the difference I was floored! This really do help boost the sound without really boosting the static. Mind you there is still a "hum" from the album but this is really the only device I have before it hits my speakers. So, it's well worth the investment if you are looking for a better quality, fuller sounding performance of your vinyl records.

4Great preamp, with a caveat
By Maro Riofrancos
This is a smooth sounding preamp, and the price is right. My one disappointment is that I had assumed you'd be able to connect two moving coil turntables at the same time and switch between them, but you can't. You could connect one MC and one MM turntable simultaneously, but I don't use MM cartridges. I place the blame on myself, for not doing a little research and reading the small print. Otherwise, you forget it's there, which is the whole point. I'm about to get a tube preamp, costing several times as much, for my other MC turntable. I'll then be able to compare it to this one and hear whether the extra money was worth it.

4It does the job
By Old Guy
My new AV receiver has no phono jack. I have a moving coil cartridge in my turntable. This preamp is designed to work with a MC cartridge. The preamp's instructions are minimal at best.I tried the preamp with and without its stepup transformer. It seems to work well without it. I set the impedence at its lower setting. The volume knob works as well.I have, however, an analog hum that I can not cure. I have no idea where the hum originates or how to cure it. I have the turntable grounded to the preamp and the preamp grounded to a receiver chassis screw. I also have them all grounded to a noise limiting power strip. None of this cured the hum.Edited--Great tip ravager814, I switched the input hockup from MC to MM, no more hum! Who would have guessed?
