While this apparatus was a bit trickier to install than I had hoped, it is on the bike very solidly. Now, I know there is the "concept" of the keyed lock/unlock but my bracket is on VERY tight and I wouldn't even bother with the key; I'd be afraid I'd never get it back on. But, I can live with that. I wasn't worried about that feature too much.The only thing that I'm not too thrilled about is that my bag sit VERY high on the the bike. Much higher than probably any 'cruiser-type' bike I've seen/owned. I can live with it, because the bags I have are very nice. But, I wish I could have been able to mount them lower.Oh, well, the brackets work as described and would take a hammer to get off! :)
