Skullgard Hard Hats feature heavy-duty construction for use as head protection in steel mills and other heavy industries where elevated temperatures are common.
Skullgards are SEI Certified and meets or exceeds the applicable requirements for a Type 1 helmet (top impact) as outlined in ANSI Z89.1 2003, Class G (electrical-low voltage). Also meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 voluntary standard for reverse donning.

Prior to this purchase I owned the exact same hat & it saved my life. I am an elevator constructor & falling objects can be a hazard. A co-worker & I were changing the rigging @ the top of the shaft, he was on the 17th & I was on the 11th floor. He accidentally dropped a 15 lbs snatch block 6 floors & it hit me in the head(Although I suspect it just grazed me). Nonetheless, the hard hat did its job, the suspension gave way & there was a 3" crack on the back right, where I was hit. I walked away with a little less blood & 3 staples in my head. Needless to say, I will never wear another cheap, company issued hard hat again when I KNOW that this one is why I'm still alive today!
