These shoes creased over the tops of my toes and pinched them painfully. Before you spend what I consider an excessive price for this model, you may wish to consider the (for me, at least) much more comfortable Ecco Seattle Apron Toe Tie Oxfords at a much lower price, also sold by Amazon.com.

I have owned the Gaetan oxfords in black for about three years, and recently also purchased the brown pair. Both are very comfortable, even the black pair after three years. Mephisto allows you to have the shoes resoled for a reasonable price, so I should not have a need for any other shoes in the foreseeable future. A little costly, but the quality and duration of use should make the initial investment worthwhile. They are very comfortable. I typically wear size 12.5, but these tend to run large, and the 12 fits perfectly.

Had these for 3 years now - probably one of the best go to most comfortable & versatile shoes I have.Very expensive - but quality is from other brands doesn't compare on this model; certain newer Mephisto have taken a step down in quality. Can make your foot look a little smaller compared to other similar styles.
