Great Upgrade
By Derick
I use my G5 every day for my graphic design business. As awesome as they may be, I am trying to put off the leap to an Intel-based Mac Pro for a while longer. I have decided to spend a few hundred bucks in upgrading the G5's graphics card, RAM and hard drive. This is an easy install, both card and software (check the company's web site for the latest, as the CD that shipped had an earlier version) gave me no problems. I think it is an inexpensive way to get another year or two out of a solid machine.

Awesome Video Card!
By Gustavo E. Guardado
This is a pretty awesome card. While AGP is sort of a dying card type, this card certainly was a boost from my original video card on my 4+ year old Power Mac G5. So for people like me looking to get a video card that could handle Final Cut Studio 2 better (especially the Color application) this is the card you want. It's a little pricey for only 256mb but worth it. I also recommend you actually load the drivers, as it was a little buggy when I attempted to just plug and play. Otherwise, again, great card!

It just works
By T. Hoang
The card was installed over two months ago on my PowerMac G4 MDD 1.67GHz (upgraded) machine. The installation was very simple, just pull out the old card and insert the new one. The only snag I ran into was that the system didn't reboot after I powered it up after installation. So I had to re-seat the RAM modules and it was all right. I had to remove the RAM module closest to the AGP slot to create more room to remove the old card. Just make sure to read the instruction provided by ATI, like installing any software first before installing the video card.
