Product Description
Rage Powersports RB-DLX-V2 Black Widow roof cargo rack and vehicle storage basket is great for carrying camping gear, luggage, and utility loads. The roof basket frame features tube-style side rails designed to prevent loads from shifting while providing multiple points for securing a cargo net or hook-end tie-down straps. Mounts to factory roof racks or sport rack systems such as Yakima and Thule. Easy to install and use.
Specifications: Each basket has a maximum 150 lb. storage capacity. Outside dimensions are 43.5"L x 39"W x 6"H with a usable 37"L x 37"W interior space. Mounts to a maximum of 1-3/4"D round crossbars, or 1-3/4" wide x 1-3/4" thick square crossbars, or 4-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" thick rectangle crossbars with a minimum of 15" between crossbars. Mesh bottom 3" x 3.125" rung spacing with 0.5" and 0.375" mesh weave. Made with a heavy duty weather resistant steel construction built to last.

Shipping was not free, but it was fast. The installation instructions were very basic but I suppose they were adequate because it only took about 15 minutes for a one-person installation. There was no drilling and no permanent mounting. In fact, now that it's fastened to my roof rack, it can be removed in a few seconds by removing the crossbars. It is on a 2007 Ford Escape with factory roof rack and crossbars. All required hardware was included and no tools were necessary. My only concern is the connection between the two halves of the basket. I wish it was a little stronger because I fear that if I put a heavy load in the center it may bend. But I think it would take a load heavier than the 200lb maximum they state.

Very good construction. Mounts and works well with my Thule bar rack system, however with the lack of any wind delflection system it is loud as hell!

I originally wanted a roof basket for my Durango so I could safely mount my spare tire (it is too big to store where the spare should be). I was a little leery on the roof basket from Discount Ramps, but after getting it and installing it, I couldn't be happier! It went on easy and the extra cargo space is a definite plus when I go camping or on long fishing/hunting trips. The only thing I had an issue with was the crown shaped nuts that were supplied with the basket to mount it to the existing roof rack. They would never stay tight and the roof basket ended up shifting to the driver side of the truck after taking a corner. I went out and bought lock nuts for it and now it's nice and tight and won't move, no matter how hard I try to shake it. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.
