We use two of these to keep our basement dry... one also piggybacks for the A/C condensate pump.. and heater humidifier overflow pump... the work off and on.. 1000's of times... sometimes so much that it scares me to think how much water we'd have in our basement if we didn't have them.. especailly during Sandy and some other storms we've had... after about 6 or 7 years.. the pressure switch invariably get funky.. either the pumps runs and won't shut down... or it won't run at all... at that point.. I yank it. and put a new one in.. too much trouble to risk a rebuilt pressure switch failing after an hour re-install repair.. well worth a $110 bucks... hope these mexican built pumps can stand the test of time..

This is my 2nd one of these. The 1st only lasted 2 years. The good news is that it gave plenty of warning that it was about to give out (strange sounds, etc.), allowing me time to swap it out before a disaster.I have a 10' overhead, so the unit has to work pretty hard.I hope this one lasts longer, but if not, It's only about $110 to replace, which I did myself in less than 30 minutes.

I used this to replace the exact model. the switch went after about 10 years. I could have replaced the switch but it would have been more work and the rest of the pump would still be 10 years old.
