Pros: The blanket is most assuredly soft and appears to be high quality material. The dye job looks to be very well done.Cons: The "Solaron" logo is part of the dye job at the bottom right of the blanket. Ad stated a shipping weight of 13 pounds - FedEx stated a shipping weight of 9 pounds. A 4 pound (and therefore, $4) discrepancy. The blanket is not what I would consider "thick" nor "plush".Pros, elaborated: What else is to be said about the pros? Acrylic (and polyester) are very soft, silky materials. The dye job is very nice, if somewhat brighter in person than in the picture. Plus, acrylic fiber tends to be very colorfast and is resistant to moths, oils and chemicals.Cons, elaborated: The Solaron logo is permanently part of the blanket. There is a white oval near the bottom right of the blanket with "SOLARON" in black lettering. Presumably, one could dye that part of the blanket black to remove the logo. Third, the ad stated a shipping weight of 13 pounds - yet the FedEx website stated a shipping weight of 9 pounds. While $4 (at $1/pound) isn't a huge deal, it IS false advertising. Fourth, the ad states that the blanket is "thick" and "plush"; however, I have another (MUCH older) Korean mink blanket that is nearly twice as thick and much more plush - even after many washes.As with anything, you get what you pay for. As I was looking for a predominantly blanket blanket to go with a mixed set of ebony and ivory satin sheets, this blanket fit the bill nicely. I'm just a bit disappointed with the misrepresentation and false advertising that was included in the listing.
