I really wanted to give this product 5 stars, but it is not as advertised so I am only going to give it 4. It is still a great product.I purchased this item on Amazon specifically because it was not the same unit that was available at Target retail stores. The track at the stores comes with a charger and a car but not the starter or the lap counter. This one is advertised as coming with the started and lap counter but not the car or charger. The cars and chargers are available at target seperately but I have not found the starter or lap counter available seperately.I received the shipment today and it is the same unit as is available at Target, with the car and charger. I am disappointed. Also, since it is from Target you have to pay sales tax. Therefore I didn't get anything that I couldn't have gotten from our local Target (for the same price) but I had to pay shipping for this one.I will be contacting them to see if it is posisble to get the unit advertised. If it is, I will add another review.

Whoever reissued Sizzlers never played with them as a kid.The cars are fast. An average lap is about 2-4 seconds. The trick of racing is in juicing your car at the right time (especially if only one juicer is available, resulting in wrestling fights breaking out amongst friends and siblings battling for the juicer). Also, the lap counter funnels down to a single lane so the cars crash into each other occasionally and fly off the track.With this setup you'll just be watching fast little cars whiz around the track really fast, going, "Man, I have no idea what's going on." Sorry, no lap counter, means no fun.

The track is easy to assemble and dis-assemble for storage. The track is just a large oval but it is a fun track to race on. Its' width is such that four sizzler cars can race AND pass each other. The track is sturdy and the cars seldom fall off like the flimsy single-lane orange hot wheels track. The juice machine is ok, but I use/recommend two power pits to simplify car charging. If you want to really extend racing time, change out the old-school 150MaH NiCD Sizzler car batteries with newer tech 300Mah (or larger if available) NiMh batteries (they work just fine w/the power pit).
